Governor Held a Dialogue with Regional Government Organizations and Community Leaders in South Barito Regency

BUNTOK – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran held a meeting with the Heads of Regional Government Organizations, Heads of Districts, Heads of Sub Districts, Heads of Villages, Chair of Village Consultative Body, Community Leaders, Customary Leaders, Religious Leaders, as well as SMEs of South Barito Regency in Jaro Pirarah Building , Buntok, Thursday (01/23/2020).
The meeting was held to absorb people’s aspirations and seek input for improving the development in Land of Tambun Bungai. The dialogue and questions-answers session with the invited guests were guided by the Regent of South Barito.
At the meeting, Governor emphasized that his vision and mission as well as the regents’ and mayor’s in the past 5 years was the improvement and development of infrastructures, such as roads, water tunnels, culverts, airports, and harbors. “It needs a hard work to build Central Kalimantan,” he said.
According to the Governor, the main task as a regional leader, among others, is to increase the Local Revenue in order to be able to run the development in Central Kalimantan. “We will officially inaugurate the bridge funded by Regional Budget tomorrow as to show our accountability and responsibility of using public funds,” he added.
It was also conveyed that the Provincial Government also took policies related to health. “No one is refused at the provincial hospital,” said the Governor.
“We prepare funds, because it is the responsibility of a leader to serve the poor. We provide medical treatment, we provide financing, don’t worry, “explained Governor.
Related to education issues, Governor said that so far there have been 5,000 undergraduate students who received Bidik Misi scholarships from Central Kalimantan Provincial Government.
Ending his remarks, Governor invited all communities to maintain a harmony. “We all can convey criticism, but please keep the harmony and hold the philosophy of Huma Betang,” he concluded.
