Governor Orders to Reenact Scouts for Character Development
TAMIANG LAYANG – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. After having a work visit in South Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran and his entourage continued their visit to East Barito Regency, Friday (24/1/2020).
In Bumi Jari Janang Kalalawah, Governor headed to SMAN 1 Tamiang Layang to hold a meeting with students of grade XI and XII from high schools, vocational schools, and Islamic High Schools in Tamiang Layang. The Governor’s arrival at the school was welcomed by the Regent, Vice Regent, Regional Secretary, and Leadership Coordination Forum members of the Regency. Also present on this activity was a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Constituency of Central Kalimantan Agustiar Sabran.
On this activity, Governor conducted a dialogue and question-answer session with students guided by the Principal of SMAN 1 Tamiang Layang.
Governor also asked students to break the laziness and dare to communicate something. “I hope no more laziness stay here and as the exchange is the diligence for all students. Great kids, dare to say something,” said Governor on the next opportunity.
Governor reminded students to stay away from drugs and promiscuity. Regarding the formation of students’ character to be smart, intelligent, and brave individuals, the Governor invites all related parties to reenact Scouts. “I invite all teachers and related officials to make Scouts familiar because Scouts aim to build character, including the character of being loyal to our beloved state and country,” explained the Governor.
Governor added, he still paid attention to the construction of infrastructure or educational facilities in addition to the construction of roads and bridges.
Regarding the development of all these infrastructures, Governor wants East Barito that is located close to the newly strengthened candidate for the Capital City, to not only become a “spectator” when the State Capital is moved. “So it is important to become a special economic zone,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.
