Chair of Central Kalimantan Family Welfare Program Urges Village Heads to Reactivate Integrated Services Post
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Chair of Central Kalimantan Family Welfare Program Mrs. Ivo Sugianto Sabran called on all village heads across Central Kalimantan Province to fully support the activities of Family Welfare Program in its respective work areas. “We ask all Village Heads to support the Family Welfare Program in the village through the use of Village Funds that can be managed independently by the Family Welfare Program with the assistance and supervision from the village government,” she said at the Work Meeting on Village Funds Management and Distribution Accelaration in Central Kalimantan Province 2020 in Jayang Tingang Hall, Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office, Thursday (2/20/2020).
On that occasion, Mrs. Ivo said that Central Kalimantan is currently experiencing a problem of Stunting, which is a chronic nutritional problem due to the lack of nutrition that occurs starting from the womb and can only be seen when a child reaches the age of two years old. Besides the problem of Stunting, Central Kalimantan also has a problem with the low existence of active Integrated Services Post. For this reason, the village heads were asked to be able to reactivate the Integrated Services Post through the Operational Working Groups of Integrated Services Post at each level. “By reactivating the Integrated Services Post hopefully we can prevent early the Stunting problem in the community,” she added.
Based on the available data, active Integrated Services Posts are only 46.02 percent or 1,184 posts from the total Integrated Services Posts in Central Kalimantan, which is 2,573. “This figure is still far from the national target, which is 60 percent,” explained Mrs. Ivo Sugianto Sabran.
