Governor: Students Must Develop Their Morals Quality and Stay Away from Drugs
PANGKALAN BUN – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. The atmosphere in Public High School 1 Pangkalan Bun, Monday morning (02/17/2020) seemed lively to welcome Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran who was accompanied by the Regent of Kotawaringin Barat Nurhidayah and a number of Regional Government Organization Heads of Central Kalimantan Province and Kotawaringin Barat Regency.
Sugianto Sabran’s attendance in Public High School 1 Pangkalan Bun was to have a direct dialogue with teachers and students of class XI and XII of high schools / vocational high schools / Madrasah Aliyah high schools in Pangkalan Bun.
Before the dialogue, Governor Sugianto Sabran handed over 449 notebooks symbolically to 13 high school principals across Kotawaringin Barat regency.
In 2019, 834 notebooks were handed over to high schools and 786 notebooks to vocational high schools so the total notebooks that were handed over in 2019 and 2020 to high schools and vocational high schools in Kotawaringin Barat were 3,134 units, including the procurement in 2018 of 1,065 units.
In his dialogue with the teachers and students of high schools / vocational high schools and Madrasah Aliyah high schools in Pangkalan Bun, Sugianto Sabran expected the Education Office, teachers, and school committees to continue improving the education quality in Central Kalimantan.
“Teachers and parents must work together to educate their children to be useful human beings for the nation and state. In addition, students must stay away from drugs and promiscuity,” said Sugianto Sabran.
Sugianto Sabran also reiterated his will in the prevention and eradication of drugs. For this reason, communities, including students, must protect themselves from drugs. (jmk/eka/translated by feb)
