Governor Asks People to Not Panic of Corona Virus Issue
PALANGKA RAYA – BUREAU OF PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION. Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran asked people to not panic of Corona virus issue in Indonesia. The governor also asked the State Civil Apparatus of Central Kalimantan Provincial Government to participate in disseminating the Healthy Life-style Community Movement in order to protect themselves from the Corona virus attack. “Don’t panic, the local government, as with the policies of the central government, have taken anticipatory steps related to the Corona virus,” said Governor Sugianto.
For the State Civil Apparatus, they are encouraged to take part in setting an example for the community in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, among others by maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness both in the office and at home, in which a healthy lifestyle can be started from the smallest environment such as family. “The most important thing is how we maintain a healthy lifestyle, starting from the smallest environment, the family,” he said.
He added that a healthy lifestyle can also be applied by washing hands with soap and complying the cough ethics.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19, as stated by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Terawan Agus Putranto, is a type of disease that is self-limited or can heal itself.
This type of virus, such as the viruses that cause chickenpox and flu, generally recovers when a person’s body has good immunity. To that end, Governor Sugianto Sabran reminded the public to maintain health by increasing body immunity. “Because by having good immunity, a person will not be easily attacked viruses,” he explained.
The public is also advised not to worry too much. For those who are healthy, there is no need to wear a mask because masks are more for the sick so they don’t spread the virus to healthy people around them. “Don’t worry or fear too much. Once again, the government has taken and will take preventive and gradual steps in accordance with applicable regulations to deal with the Corona virus. A healthy person, as conveyed by the Minister of Health, does not need to wear masks, it is just to maintain a healthy lifestyle,” he said.
