Central Kalimantan Youth Movement Against Covid-19 Distributed Food Packages and Takjil in Holy Month
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Youth Movement against Covid-19 distributed takjil to people around the Aspiration House, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Langkai Sub District, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya, Thursday (4/30/2020).
The action carried out by Central Kalimantan Youth Movement Against Covid-19 is not limited to the distribution of free basic needs packages to small and affected communities, but also includes various other social actions, such as the distribution of free takjil to people of Palangka Raya.
This action is recognized as a form of implementing the philosophy of Huma Betang in daily life, such as mutual respect and respect for one another, no discrimination or pride, and love to each other. “Message from Pak Sugianto Sabran and Mr. Agustiar, at any time we have more and more blessings, it is an opportunity for us to share. Since now is the holy month, the pandemic does not avoid us to share,” said Norpita Sari, coordinator of this activity.
Norpita Sari said that this action received donations from private funds of H. Sugianto Sabran as Governor of Central Kalimantan and H. Agustiar Sabran as a member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Central Kalimantan Electoral Region. “My salary and allowances for 5 years served as much as Rp 9 billion means nothing if people screamed. Mr. Sugianto Sabran could not bear that. He wants the public to smile happily even though he is not paid as long as he becomes the governor,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the community’s response was very positive towards all activities that had been carried out by the Central Kalimantan Youth Movement Against Covid-19. “I am grateful for this takjil for breaking fasting,” said Supardi, one of the pedicab riders who passed in front of the Aspiration House.
Supardi also appreciated the performance of H. Sugianto Sabran and H. Agustiar Sabran during the pandemic in Bumi Tambun Bungai. “We can really see a responsible leader, if the people are in trouble, their hearts could not bear it and they will definitely help. Pak Sugianto might be an example,” said Supardi. (ist/translated by feb)
