The First Stage of Covid-19 Vaccine Has Arrived in Central Kalimantan
PALANGKA RAYA – BUREAU OF ADMINISTRATION LEADERSHIP. The Covid-19 vaccine has been received by the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan through the Health Office of Central Kalimantan Tuesday (5/1/2021). The 14,680 doses of Covid-19 vaccine will later be given to all health workers and other personnel who work in all health facilities; local government-owned health facilities, Indonesian Army/ Indonesian Police–owned health facilities, and private health facilities in Central Kalimantan. These health facilities include Regional Public Hospitals (RSUD), TNI Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, Private Hospitals, Maternity Hospitals, Community Health Centres, Clinics, and individual practices.
Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran ordered the Provincial Health Office to ensure that all health workers receive vaccines according to their rights. “So that the Provincial Health Office ensures that no health worker who does not get the vaccine,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.
Meanwhile, thousands of doses of Covid-19 vaccine that have been received today will then be distributed to regencies / municipality in Central Kalimantan on January 8-12, 2021. The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is currently training a team of vaccination facilitators at provincial-level who will then train vaccinators in regencies /municipality. “It is expected that all Community Health Centres will have at least one vaccinator in the first phase of Covid-19 vaccination. The number of vaccinators will keep being added to face the next stages of vaccination in which the number of targets will be more,” said the Head of Health Office of Central Kalimantan Suyuti Syamsul.
Based on the reports and monitoring results, all pharmacy warehouses in regencies / municipality and 202 Community Health Centres throughout Central Kalimantan have selected a cold chain consisting of freezers and cold boxes. “Based on the available data, it can be concluded that Central Kalimantan is ready to carry out the first stage of Covid-19 vaccination and the following stages,” concluded Suyuti Syamsul.
