Central Kalimantan Government Attends Virtually President’s Directions
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Government held a Presidential Briefing which was held virtually via video teleconference or video conference at the State Palace, Jakarta. The event was attended by Provincial Secretary Fahrizal Fitri representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan via video teleconference from Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya, on Monday (17/5/2021).
The event was attended by President Joko Widodo and was accompanied by Vice President K.H. Ma’aruf Amin, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, was followed online by Regional Heads and Regional Leadership Coordination Forum throughout Indonesia.
When giving the briefing, President conveyed two main points, namely related to the handling of Covid-19 and economic development.
President Joko Widodo emphasized to all parties to be careful, especially with areas with an increasing trend of cases of the Covid-19 spread. President hopes that all regional heads will remain alert to the spread of Covid-19 after Eid or the occurrence of backflow.
“Be careful, we really have to be vigilant, because there is a potential for a projected number of new Covid cases, even though we have issued a policy to prohibit homecoming. This morning I got the data, there were about 1.5 million people who went home between May 6-May 17, 2021,” said President.
Furthermore, President expects all Governors, Regents and Mayors to work hard and contribute to jointly achieve national economic growth.
“The national economic target is obtained from the aggregate collection of economic growth in Provinces, Regencies and Cities. So all Governors, Regents and Mayors have the same responsibility in contributing to our national economic growth,” concluded President Jokowi.
Also attending the event were the Chairman of Central Kalimantan House of the Representatives Wiyatno, Regional Chief of Police Inspector General Pol Dedy Prasetyo, Regional Military Commander 102 / Panju Panjung Brigadier General Purwo Sudaryanto, Head of High Court Mochamad Hatta, Chairman of the High Religious Court Samparaja and Head of Regional Intelligence Agency Brigadier General TNI Sinyo.
