Governor H. Sugianto Sabran and Vice Governor H. Edy Pratowo Meet Regents/Mayor and Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Governor H. Sugianto Sabran and Vice Governor H. Edy Pratowo arrived back in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan after being inaugurated by President Joko Widodo at the State Palace, Tuesday (25/05/2021). The Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan, respectively, and their wives arrived at Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangka Raya on Wednesday (26/05/2021) afternoon.
Arriving at Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangka Raya, Governor Sugianto Sabran took the time to meet and greet his beloved mother in the airport VIP room. Afterwards, the Governor and Vice Governor continued their journey to Jayang Tingang Hall, the Governor’s Office to hold a meeting with Regents / Mayor and the members of Central Kalimantan Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum.
A welcome greeting from Provincial Secretary Fahrizal Fitri began the meeting. ”First of all, let us give thanks to the presence of Allah SWT, Almighty God, thanks to His abundance and grace that we are all given health, so that we can all welcome the arrival of the Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan Province for the 2021-2024 period who were yesterday just inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Ir. Joko Widodo at the State Palace. And, we apologize for the simple and limited welcoming ceremony because we are currently in a state of COVID-19 pandemic,” said the Provincial Secretary.
On this occasion, the Provincial Secretary hopes that the leadership of Sugianto Sabran and Edy Pratowo as the Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan can unite their enthusiasm in continuing the development of Central Kalimantan Province and community service to create a prosperous community of Central Kalimantan. “Of course we cannot do this alone, there is a need to be a strong and solid cooperation in carrying out future programs and plans,” he said.
“Once again, I would like to congratulate Mr. H. Sugianto Sabran and Mr. H. Edy Pratowo who have been inaugurated as Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan for the 2021-2024 period. Allah SWT, Almighty God always gives His grace and guidance to all of us in carrying out the mandate and duties assigned to the Governor and Vice Governor and all of us in order to make the people of Central Kalimantan more blessed and prosperous,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Governor in his speech expressed his highest appreciation to all parties who have supported him during his previous leadership. “Especially for my friend Mr. Habib Ismail Bin Yahya, Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan for the 2016-2021 period, for his dedication and hard work for the people of Central Kalimantan. May Allah SWT always provide you health and blessings,” said the Governor and welcomed by the applause of audience.
Furthermore, the Governor thanked his family, relatives, all volunteers, and all parties who could not be mentioned individually for their support which could not be returned back in any way. “We hope, we will give our hard work and performance to create Central Kalimantan more blessed and prosperous,” said the Governor.
Appreciation is also conveyed to the organizers of the General Election, namely the General Election Commission (KPU), both at the Provincial and Regency / Municipality level throughout Central Kalimantan, with all its ranks and commissioners, the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu), and members of PPS and KPPS throughout Central Kalimantan. “Then we should give pride and respect to the Police and Armed Force who have mobilized all their energy and abilities to ensure that the entire series of activities and stages of election can run safely, orderly and peacefully,” he said.
For future plans, the Governor along with the Vice Governor will continue to strengthen the fields of infrastructure, education, health, and the community’s economy in a broad sense. The governor also emphasized the importance of synergy and communication with Regents / Mayor in Central Kalimantan. “I will build Central Kalimantan towards a dignified Central Kalimantan with high dedication, the important thing is that the Regents and Mayor communicate with us. The regency/municipality budget must be aligned with the province’s so that it is right on target,” said the Governor.
Regarding the handling of COVID-19 and Central Kalimantan’s economic growth, the Governor emphasized his commitment with the Vice Governor to ensure that in the next three months COVID-19 can continue to be controlled and the Central Kalimantan’s economy can grow well. “By hard work and cooperation, I am sure that nothing cannot be done as long as we pray and make every effort,” he hoped.
Also attending the meeting were the Vice Governor for the term of 2016-2021 Habib Ismail Bin Yahya, Regents / Mayor throughout Central Kalimantan, members of Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum, Chairman of KPU, Chairman of Bawaslu, Head of Vertical Institutions, Chair of Provincial TP-PKK, and religious and community leaders.
