Herd Immunity Has not Been Achieved, Risk of Transmission of Covid-19 Remains High
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communication Team for Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force, in a release on Sunday (23/5/2021) said that as of May 21, 2021, Indonesia already vaccinated 24,431,758 times. There are 14,685,236 people who have received the first dose of vaccine and 9,746,522 people who have completed the second dose of vaccine.
“As long as we have not reached herd immunity, the risk of Covid-19 transmission remains high around us. Group immunity can be achieved after 70% of Indonesia’s population or 181.5 million people receive vaccinations,” explained the Task Force Team.
It was also conveyed that the number of accumulated data as of today, Sunday (23/5/2021), namely positive confirmation patients for Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan has increased by 96 people, with a total of 21800 cases. An additional 91 patients were recovered, with a total of 20157 cases. And, the addition of patients dead as many as 4 people, so that the total remains to be 581 people.
The development of Covid-19 data collected by the accumulated on May 23, 2021 at 15.00 p.m., is as follows: related to the affected zones, as many as 13 regencies and 1 municipality have been affected. In the Confirmation case there were additional 96 people, namely in Palangka Raya (29 people), East Kotawaringin (5 people), West Kotawaringin (28 people), Lamandau (4 people), Sukamara (18 people), Pulang Pisau (1 person), Kapuas (4 people), Gunung Mas (1 person), and East Barito (6 people), from 21704 people to 21800 people.
There were additional 91 people recovered, namely in Palangka Raya (18 people), Katingan (9 people), East Kotawaringin (19 people), West Kotawaringin (13 people), Lamandau (2 people), Sukamara (3 people), Pulang Pisau (1 person), Kapuas (1 person), South Barito (2 people), East Barito (2 people), and North Barito (21 people), from 20066 to 20157 people. The number of suspect case decreased by 81 people, from 409 people to 328 people.
Probable case has no addition, so it remains 93 people. There is an addition of 1 person under treatment, from 1061 to 1062 people. There were additional 4 cases of death, namely in East Kotawaringin (2 people), Sukamara (1 person), and Seruyan (1 person), from 577 people to 581 people, with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 2.7%.
