To Raise Awareness of Covid-19 Before Eid Al-Fitr, Central Kalimantan Government and Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum Attend Coordination Meeting With Minister of Home Affairs
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Provincial Secretary Fahrizal Fitri, representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan attended a Coordination Meeting with the Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian via video conference from Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Monday (3/5/2021) morning.
Also attending the Coordination Meeting from Jayang Tingang Hall were Deputy Chairperson of Central Kalimantan House of Representatives, Abdul Razak, Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo, Regional Commander 102 / Pjg Brigadier General Purwo Sudaryanto, and Head of the High Prosecutor’s Office Iman Wijaya, as well as a number of Heads of Central Kalimantan Government Institution and other related agencies.
The agenda for the coordination meeting between the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Heads of Government Institution and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum throughout Indonesia, which was held through a video conference, was to discuss the enforcement of the Health Protocol and Covid-19 Management, especially towards the Eid Al-Fitr.
This coordination meeting began with a briefing from the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian which was then followed by an explanation from other relevant Ministers, starting from the Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Head of Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management as Chair of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi and Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. In addition, there were also explanations from the National Police, Indonesian National Armed Force, and Indonesian State Intelligence Agency.
In the interview session after the Coordination Meeting, Secretary Fahrizal Fitri explained that all Regional Governments and Leadership Coordination Forums were asked to remain vigilant and not be lax with the threat of Covid-19 spread, especially after Eid, which will usually be followed by increased activity and mobility or community movement.
“This morning we had a coordination meeting chaired by the Ministry of Home Affairs. From several sources, from Ministers, National Board for Disaster Management, National Police, Indonesian National Armed Force and Indonesian State Intelligence Agency. The point is that in order to face religious holidays, of course there will be homecoming activities. The point is, don’t let this big religious celebration, Eid Al-Fitr become (create) a new cluster,“ explained the Provincial Secretary.
“So, all moving components were asked to build insulation posts, which as of the 6th day, there is already a ban on going home. And, of course the tightening of this process, especially Central Kalimantan, we have posts in Kapuas, East Barito, including Lamandau,” added Central Kalimantan Provincial Secretary Fahrizal Fitri.
Provincial Secretary Fahrizal Fitri then said that the plan was for the Leadership Coordination Forum to conduct checks to monitor the situation in the field, as well as directly observe the implementation of health protocols in public facilities, such as markets and houses of worship. “We hope that this movement from the province will also be followed by regencies / municipality and down to the household level.
