Vice Governor Edy Pratowo Attends Virtually Opening of National Coordination Meeting on Government Internal Supervision In 2021
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Edy Pratowo accompanied by Acting Inspector of Central Kalimantan Saring attended the Opening of National Coordination Meeting on Government Internal Supervision 2021. This National Coordination Meeting was held and attended virtually via video conference from Eka Hapakat Hall, Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office, Thursday (27/05/2021).
The National Coordination Meeting for Government Internal Supervision was opened directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia H. Joko Widodo from the Presidential Palace, Bogor, West Java. The meeting was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, the Head of Finance and Development Supervisory Agency Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, as well as a number of speakers, including the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartanto, and the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy.
The meeting participants are all Governors, Regents / Mayors, as well as all leaders and assistants of Provincial, Regency and Municipality Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP). This meeting was held by the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency with the theme “Guarding the Effectiveness of Expenditures, Restoring the Economy”.
Head of BPKP Muhammad Yusuf Ateh in his report stated that 2021 is the momentum to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. National Budget and Regional Budget are important instruments and must be implemented effectively.
Muhammad Yusuf Ateh also said that in 2021, BPKP has designed monitoring agenda which is an effort to focus on overseeing crucial sectors and encouraging economic elections and development success, both at the central and regional levels. BPKP has also designed evaluation and budgeting for the Central and Regional Governments with the aim of improving spending priorities so that they have an impact on society.
Meanwhile, in his remarks, President Joko Widodo conveyed that the main role of supervision is to ensure the achievement of government objectives, ensure the achievement of program objectives, and ensure budget expenditure objectives in an accountable, effective and efficient manner. President Joko Widodo also said that following the procedure is important but far more important is the achievement of the targets that have been set. So that supervision must ensure that no rupiah is mis-targeted, that nothing is misused, let alone corrupted. “2021 is the year of accelerated national recovery,” concluded President Joko Widodo.
He also conveyed that there was no tolerance at all for misuse of the budget, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. “I will not tolerate any misappropriation of the budget, especially when we are all experiencing difficulties in facing the Covid-19 pandemic that is happening this time.
