In her remarks, the Chair of PKK’s Steering Team of Central Kalimantan Province Ivo Sugianto Sabran said, “This Halal Bihalal feels more special because it is not only attended by PKK’s members and Cadres, but we also invite village assistants throughout Central Kalimantan who are the partners of PKK’s Steering Team at all levels in order to jointly participate in the success of development in Central Kalimantan for the realization of Central Kalimantan to more BERKAH.” “Still like the previous year, our Eid Al-Fitr this year is still in the atmosphere of Covid-19 Pandemic with the number of cases increasing day by day. We as PKK’s Cadres have also participated in helping prevent the spread of this virus with our duties and roles as PKK’s Cadres,” she continued.
Regarding the Covid-19 vaccine that has been found that can help reduce and protect the community from Covid-19, PKK’s cadres as government partners are jointly moving to make the government’s efforts to implement the Covid-19 vaccination a success, which is currently being promoted, both through dissemination and inviting local residents as well as providing understanding to the community how important it is to get the vaccine in order to reduce the impact of being exposed to Covid-19.
On this occasion, the Chair of Central Kalimantan PKK’s Steering Team also conveyed several important points that must be considered, including the community still has to endure and be patient to keep adjusting and adapting to the current situation; remain disciplined and committed to implementing the Health Protocols (5M); always wearing a mask, maintaining distance, washing hands, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility; need to change the mindset in a more positive direction; as well as efforts to carry out the Covid-19 vaccination.
She also conveyed that one of the lessons that can be learned through virtual halal bihalal carried out in the midst of pandemic is the creation of Ukhuwah Islamiyah, the establishment of a closer sisterhood and brotherhood among others. The hurt, jealousy, envy, or backbiting that has been done will be destroyed if you forgive each other and forget about it. “The Covid-19 pandemic is not an obstacle to strengthen ties of friendship, in fact this pandemic further increases the sense of solidarity in helping our brothers and sisters who are currently living in difficulties due to this epidemic disaster. Even though we can’t shake hands yet, our hearts have forgiven each other,” she explained.
This Halal Bihalal event held by PKK’s Steering of Central Kalimantan Province was also filled with explanations from the Head of Health Office Suyuti Syamsul with the theme “Covid-19 Vaccination” as well as a spiritual preaching delivered by Ustad Al Ghifari.
From this activity, the Chair of PKK’s Steering Team of Central Kalimantan hoped that the administrators of PKK’s Steering Team, PKK’s cadres, as well as assistants at all levels to be able to pass on positive information related to Covid-19 vaccination to people in remote areas of Central Kalimantan so that people are willing to be vaccinated.
