Government Begins to Conduct Covid-19 Vaccination for People With Disabilities
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communication Team of Central Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force delivered a press release on the latest development data on COVID-19 cases in Central Kalimantan Province on Friday (4/6/2021).
In today’s press release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force said that the Government had started the implementation of vaccinations for People with Disabilities, both physically and mentally, starting on June 1, 2021, with the first injection of COVID-19 vaccination given to People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) at Mental Hospital dr. H. Marzoeki Mahdi, Bogor City, West Java.
He also explained, as many as 562,242 people with disabilities throughout Indonesia were targeted to get COVID-19 vaccination. People with disabilities can be served in any health facility/vaccination center and not limited to the domicile address of their card identity.
To support the implementation of vaccination for people with disabilities, collaboration with communities, local organizations, and private parties is needed to be able to mobilize, register, and arrange transportation for people with disabilities to pick up and drop off to health care facilities that serve COVID-19 vaccination. For homes under the Ministry of Social Affairs, there will be health workers from local Puskesmas who will visit for vaccination.
Furthermore, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force continued to remind, even though later they had received vaccination, the public was asked to remain disciplined in implementing the 4M health protocols; wearing masks, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and washing hands with soap in running water or using hand sanitizer regularly.
Furthermore, in today’s press release, the development of COVID-19 data in Central Kalimantan which was accumulated on June 4, 2021 until 15.00 p.m., is as follows:(1) Affected zone, as many as 13 regencies and 1 municipality have been affected;(2) Confirmation cases, there are additional 119 people (Palangka Raya 28 people, Katingan 2 people, East Kotawaringin 38 people, West Kotawaringin 22 people, Sukamara 1 person, Seruyan 1 person, Kapuas 3 people, Gunung Mas 15 people, South Barito 1 person, and Murung Raya 8 people), so the total becomes 22,898 people;(3) Recovered, there were additional 57 people (Palangka Raya 20 people, Katingan 1 person, East Kotawaringin 3 people, West Kotawaringin 12 people, Sukamara 1 person, Kapuas 3 people, Gunung Mas 1 person, South Barito 2 people, North Barito 7 people, and Murung Raya 7 people), so the recovery rate to date is 21,039 people;(4) Cases of Death, there were additional 2 people (from Seruyan Regency), bringing the number of patients who died to 610 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 2.7%;(5) Under treatment, there were additional 60 people, bringing the total to 1,249 people;(6) Suspect cases, there are additional 22 people, bringing it to 341 people;(7) Probable cases, there are no additions, so they remain 96 people;(8) The number of specimens, there was an addition of 273 people, so the total is 149,386 specimens.
