Central Kalimantan Governor Responds Demands from Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance of Central Kalimantan
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran, represented by the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Hamka, held an audience with Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance of Central Kalimantan in Hall (3rd Floor), Building C of Development Administration Bureau, Thursday (19/8/2021).
This activity is a follow-up to the previous hearing in which Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance of Central Kalimantan presented the results of an evaluation to the government regarding the handling of Covid-19, including PPKM.
Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran, represented by the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Hamka, delivered his response to several demands from the Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance of Central Kalimantan as well as the signing of an agreement between Central Kalimantan Provincial Government and the Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance of Central Kalimantan.
Central Kalimantan Provincial Government has responded to several demands from the Student Executive Board (BEM) Alliance of Central Kalimantan, one of which was the action taken by Central Kalimantan Governor who always follows up regulations issued by central government related to PPKM in which the provisions contained in Minister of Home Affairs’ Instruction Number 26 of 2021 have been replaced with Minister of Home Affairs’ Instruction Number 28 of 2021 and have been followed up with Central Kalimantan Governor’s Instruction Number 163 of 2021.
Furthermore, regarding the Realization of the Right-Targeted Social Assistance, it is carried out by involving the apparatus, both from Village and Sub-District Government. Residential data of KPM (Beneficiary Families) and a list of Social Assistance recipients from the Provincial Government based on a proposal from the Regency/Municipality Government throughout Central Kalimantan that has been verified and validated, so there is no duplicate data or KPM data that has received assistance from central government.
In addition, regarding the transparency of the budget for handling Covid-19, specifically the PPKM budget and reporting to the public are submitted to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Home Affairs every month. The issue of Acceleration of Free Vaccination for all people in Central Kalimantan and Improvement of Vaccination Management to avoid mass accumulation, it was stated that vaccination was carried out by implementing a minimum immunization target of 70% which is expected to be achieved on October 31, 2021. Vaccination was carried out by preparing vaccination facilities in 232 health facilities which were strengthened by 1,832 well trained vaccinators and supported by Armed Forces/Police, Poltekkes, KKP, and various communities.
Meanwhile, regarding the readiness of health facilities as well as the availability of oxygen and medicines to support the handling of Covid-19, Government provides adequate health facilities for example from BOR isolation rooms in hospitals throughout Central Kalimantan. It was also conveyed that the availability of oxygen in Central Kalimantan was still under control. Central Kalimantan Provincial Government also provided oxygen concentrators through the assistance of the President, corporate CSR, and assistance from the Ministry of Health.
Central Kalimantan Provincial Government also welcomes the widest possible participatory opportunity for elements of society in formulating, adopting, and establishing policies for handling Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan which is carried out by holding official meetings and informal coordination with representatives of community leaders in formulating policies for handling Covid-19.
