Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin Officially Opens Dissemination Webinar on 5 Pillars of Population Development Grand Design (GDPK)
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin officially opened the Dissemination Webinar on 5 Pillars of the Population Development Grand Design (GDPK) of Central Kalimantan Province via video conference from Bajakah 2 Meeting Room, II Floor, Governor’s Office, Thursday (18/11/2021).
Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin hopes that with the preparation of the GDPK, local governments can formulate a population development plan for the next 25 years which is described every five years and contains important current population issues, desired population conditions, population programs, and population development roadmaps.
Acting Provincial Secretary assessed that GDPK has the potential to become the basis for handling population problems that are synergistic, convergent, and sustainable if it takes into account the characteristics of population problems that tend to be long-term in each region and considers the national and regional development planning systems.
As is known, Indonesia will receive a demographic bonus in 2030. According to what the Acting Provincial Secretary delivered, the success of the use of the demographic bonus is influenced by the government’s readiness to prepare a quality of population.
“The key to success is by taking advantage of the opportunity in 2020-2045 to provide the opportunity to build Human Resources (HR) as well as possible so that they become advanced HR in 2045,” explained Acting Provincial Secretary added that the development of advanced human resources requires the cooperation of various related sectors and the commitment from all central and regional stakeholders.
Furthermore, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin mentioned the names of 2 regencies that have reached 5 pillars, namely North Barito Regency and Gunung Mas Regency.
“It is hoped that through this dissemination on Population Development Grand Design, other regencies/cities, including the Province of Central Kalimantan, can formulate or develop GDPK into 5 Pillars covering the areas of population quantity control, population quality improvement, family development, distribution management, population mobility management, and population administration management,” hoped the Acting Provincial Secretary.
Closing his remarks, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin hopes that the webinar can produce a common perception in formulating the Grand Design of Population Development at the Provincial, Regency, and City levels; encourage the central government and local governments to improve the quality of the process of preparing and utilizing the 5 Pillars of Population Development Grand Design; and encourage the realization of the 5 Pillars of Population Development Grand Design as a development planning document that functions effectively in the implementation of development in the population sector to realize Central Kalimantan to be more BERKAH (Dignified, Elegant, Religious, Strong, Trustworthy, and Harmonious).
The opening of the webinar was also attended virtually, among others, by the Acting Head of the Office of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Population and Family Planning (P3APPKB) of Central Kalimantan Province, Linae Victoria Aden, Regional Secretaries of Regency/Municipality in Central Kalimantan and Heads of other related regional government institutions in Central Kalimantan.
