Governor Sugianto Sabran Inaugurates Officials in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran inaugurated and took the oath of High Officials, Administrator Officials, and Functional Officials in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government at Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Tuesday (30/11/2021) afternoon.
The inauguration was in line with Central Kalimantan Governor’s Decree Number 188.44/446/2021 of November 30, 2021. There were 46 officials appointed by the Governor Sugianto Sabran and 26 officials were handed the Decree for Acting Officials.
Also present to accompany the Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran in the inauguration ceremony were Deputy Governor H. Edy Pratowo and Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin.
The inauguration of a number of officials in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is the first inauguration carried out by Governor Sugianto Sabran in his leadership period with Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo since being taken the oath on May 25, 2021. “Today’s inauguration, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, is the first inauguration conducted by Governor H. Sugianto Sabran and Deputy Governor H. Edy Pratowo,” explained Acting Secretary Nuryakin.
He also explained that the purpose of this inauguration was as a form of implementation of the mandate of Law Number 5 of 2014 on State Civil Apparatus and Government Regulation Number 11 of 2017 on Management of Civil Servants as amended by Government Regulation Number 17 of 2020 on Amendment to Government Regulation Number 11 of 2017 on Management of Civil Servants.
In addition, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin also stated that the purpose of the inauguration of the High Officials, Administrator Officials, and Functional Officials in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, among others, is to develop and strengthen human resources, refresh the work climate, and eliminate boredom through mutations so that achievements are always realized for Central Kalimantan community that are independent, prosperous, and dignified.
After the inauguration, Governor Sugianto Sabran in delivering his remarks asked the newly inaugurated officials to be able to make breakthroughs and innovations in accordance with the duties and functions of the mandated positions. “Developing Central Kalimantan requires officials who are able to create big and extraordinary innovations and breakthroughs, it is not enough with just ordinary steps. The newly inaugurated officials will be evaluated in the next 6 months, whether they are capable or not,” said Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto.
In the press conference session after the event, to media, the Central Kalimantan Governor explained that it is normal to refresh the institutions by paying attention to the performance of officials. “Actually, in an institution, replacement is considered by the officials’ performance. The previous officials are good, but we want to work even harder to serve Central Kalimantan and its people. Therefore, many institution heads are still under 50 years old so that they are willing to innovate, be creative, to think, apart from spending the budget, the most important thing is to earn the budget,” said Central Kalimantan Governor.
The governor also stated that the appointed officials were then assessed and evaluated. And, if the performance is not good, the Governor will firmly replace the official. “In accordance with the Integrity Pact signed by the Governor and the appointed officials, there will be an assessment as well as supervision. If in 3 months, 6 months, the official does not show a good performance, yes, we’ll replace him/her and will look for someone who really wants to develop Central Kalimantan and serve people. Serving people is important, there are many elderly, orphans who are not taken care of, earning money and having food are difficult, and we must be there for them, and that is the mandate of the 1945 Constitution,” concluded Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran.
