US CDC: Indonesia is One of Countries with Low Risk of Covid-19 Transmission
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force delivered a Press Release regarding the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Kalimantan, Friday (10/12/2021) until 03.00 p.m.
The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team said that the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) revealed that Indonesia is a country with a low risk of Covid-19 transmission. Indonesia is lined up to be at Level 1 along with 42 other countries from the 5 levels set by the CDC, namely Level 4 (high) to Level 1 (low) and Level unknown. This recommendation from the CDC is good news and shows the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic is getting better.
The Covid-19 pandemic, which has begun to decrease, must be maintained and ensured that after the Christmas and New Year holidays there will be no spike in cases. According to the Task Force, the most important thing to do is to reduce the rate of cases by ensuring that mobility does not increase sharply so that the rate of transmission does not increase, to be more disciplined in implementing health protocols, and to continue to increase vaccination implementation. Efforts made by the government will be effective if there is good cooperation with community.
The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force team appealed that in addition to vaccination, the application of health protocols as a living habit is a demand in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. 4M healthy behavior is a very important prevention effort.
Furthermore, the progress of Covid-19 data that have been collected and accumulated on 10 December 2021 until 03.00 p.m. was conveyed. There were 5 additional Confirmation cases namely 2 people in Palangka Raya, 1 person in West Kotawaringin, 1 person in Lamandau, and 1 person in Sukamara, so from 46,685 people to 46,690 people. There were 4 patients recovered, namely in West Kotawaringin (3 people) and North Barito (1 person), from 45,090 people to 45,094 people. There was 1 person under treatment, so from 9 people to 10 people. There were no additional deaths, so there were still 1,586 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.
For Bed Occupancy Rate in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds experienced an increase in Bed Usage (4.76%), so that from 14.29% to 19.05%, in which no Regency/Municipality had BOR above 50% , while Insulation Beds experienced an increase in Used Beds (0.32%), so that from 2.38% to 2.69%, in which no Regency/Municipality had a BOR above 50%.
For the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Phase I vaccination increased by 6,227 or 0.46% to become 1,354,341 or 66.52% and Phase II increased by 6,546 or 0.82% so that it became as many as 805,062 or equal to 39.54%.
For the achievement of the vaccination target for teachers and education personnel, Senior High Schools, and equivalent vocational schools, the realization of PNS/GTT/PTT Vaccination did not increase so that it remained at 6,258 or 79.01%. The second dose of Senior High Schools/Vocational Schools was not added, so it remained at 32,403 or 34.06%.
According to Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 65 of 2021 dated December 6, 2021 on the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Command Post for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Village and Sub-District Levels to Control the Spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Sumatra Region , Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua, for regencies/municipality in Central Kalimantan Province there are three criteria, namely Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (valid until December 23, 2021).
The regencies/municipality with these criteria include: Level 1 (West Kotawaringin, East Kotawaringin, South Barito, Pulang Pisau, and East Barito); Level 2 (North Barito, Katingan, Seruyan, Sukamara, Lamandau, Gunung Mas, Murung Raya, and Palangka Raya); and Level 3 (Kapuas).
