Attending Christmas Celebration, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo Invites Christians Embrace Spirit of Brotherhood and Togetherness
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Edy Pratowo attended the 2021 Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Christmas Celebration Gathering at Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Wednesday (12/1/2022).
The 2021 Christmas Celebration Gathering carried the theme “The Love of Christ That Moves Brotherhood” and the sub-theme “Strengthening Brotherhood Amid Diversity Based on Huma Betang Philosophy for Central Kalimantan More BERKAH“.
When delivering the Governor of Central Kalimantan’s remarks, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo invited all Christians to continue to echo the spirit of brotherhood and diversity.
“Let’s continue to echo the spirit of brotherhood and togetherness with the spirit of Isen Mulang in developing the Province of Central Kalimantan, Bumi Tambun Bungai, and Bumi Pancasila as our home,” said Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo.
When giving Governor’s remarks, the Deputy Governor hoped that the Covid-19 pandemic could strengthen the brotherhood and resilience.
“For almost 2 years, we have faced tough challenges, one of which is our resilience as a believer in addition to another challenge in dealing with the Covid-19 Pandemic, there are also concerns, sorrows, trials faced by our brothers and sisters due to natural disasters in several regencies and municipality. However, I hope that these various challenges will actually strengthen our brotherhood and make us stronger and tougher,” he said.
On that occasion, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo explained that 2022 must be welcomed with new enthusiasm and love.
“Currently, we have stepped into the new year of 2022 which we must welcome with a new spirit, with noble souls and hearts filled with love,” concluded the Deputy Governor.
Furthermore, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo invited the community to work together to do good and take humanitarian action in Central Kalimantan.
“I invite all people everywhere to compete to do good, to promote solidarity and mutual cooperation, to work for humanitarian action throughout Central Kalimantan. We must continue to raise our awareness to awaken the human spirit, mobilize the instinct of brotherhood to act and help others,” said the Deputy Governor.
Also attending the event were the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, Christmas Celebration Committee Chair Yulindra Dedy, Expert Staff to the Governor for Government, Law, and Politics Herson B. Aden, as well as a number of Heads of Provincial Government Institutions. (rik/fen/trans.by feb)
