Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor Attended 2022 Financial Services Industry Annual Meeting with President
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Edy Pratowo attended the 2022 Financial Services Industry Annual Meeting (PTIJK) virtually via video conference from the Deputy Governor’s Meeting Room, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Thursday (20/1/ 2022). Also being present to accompany the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan was the Assistant for General Administration Lies Fahimah.
The Financial Services Industry Annual Meeting with the theme “Strengthening the Financial Services Sector for Accelerating National Economic Recovery and Supporting New Economic Growth” was also continued with the Launching of the Indonesian Green Taxonomy which was led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo from the Presidential Palace, Bogor.
When delivering his directions, President Joko Widodo emphasized that 2022 will be an important phase for Indonesia’s economic recovery. “The year of 2022 will be a momentum, and the handling of the pandemic is getting more under control, although we need to stay alert for the Omicron variant. Vaccination achievements also continue to increase,” said the President.
“The better handling of pandemic becomes the booster for us to generate optimism, bring greater confidence to the public and business actors to immediately resume economic activities and other productive activities,” the President added.
Meanwhile, in his report, the Chairman of Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners Wimboh Santoso, stated about the various achievements of the financial and banking services industry sectors in Indonesia which have shown good progress, along with the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic that has been sufficiently controlled.
“We extend our gratitude to the President and all institutions and stakeholders for the achievements (pandemic control) because this is our basis for carrying out economic activities and community mobility, although we are not 100% able to carry out social and economic activities,” said Wimboh Santoso.
The Financial Services Industry Annual Meeting which was held on a hybrid way was attended virtually by a number of Leaders of State High Institutions, Ministers of Kabinet Indonesia Maju, and Heads of Ministries/Institutions, Provincial and Regency/Municipality Governments, as well as the ranks of Regional Offices, OJK Offices, BI Representative Offices, and actors in the financial services industry throughout Indonesia.
