Central Kalimantan Governor: Promote Cycling Sport
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun, representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan attended the Provincial Executive Meeting of the Indonesian Cycling Association (ISSI) of Central Kalimantan at Aquarius Hotel, Palangka Raya on Saturday (22/1/2022).
While reading the remarks of Central Kalimantan Governor at the event, Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun said that cycling is one of the most popular sports and has become a trend in society.
“As we all know, cycling is a very popular sport. Cycling is also one way to maintain physical fitness, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. We see cycling is everywhere and has become a lifestyle trend,” said Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun.
On this occasion, the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare hoped that the event could bring out reliable, tough, and accomplished cyclists from Central Kalimantan.
“We can certainly develop maximum sports achievements, including the achievements of cyclists. We hope that in the future there will be cyclists who are reliable, tough, and have achievements from Central Kalimantan,” he said.
Furthermore, Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun also hoped that all parties would synergize and work together to encourage the achievement of sports achievements in Central Kalimantan.
“Of course, to make it happen, all parties need to work together. Unity and working together are the main capital in achieving a goal, all stakeholders need to work hand in hand and synergize to encourage the achievement of Central Kalimantan’s sports achievements,” said the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare.
Ending his remarks, the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare hoped that the working meeting could be a shared commitment to advancing sports achievements, especially cycling.
“Let’s make this Work Meeting of ISSI of Central Kalimantan a form of joint commitment to advancing sports achievements, especially cycling,” concluded Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun.
Also being present at the event, among others were Acting Head of the Youth and Sports Service Iswahono, Chair of Regional Organization and Development Division of ISSI Andi Astri Baskara, and Chair of ISSI of Central Kalimantan Rahmat Nasution Hamka. (rik/transl.by feb)
