Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Released Social Assistance for Fire Victims in Pundu Village, East Kotawaringin
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo released social assistance from the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan for fire victims in Pundu Village, Cempaga Hulu District, East Kotawaringin Regency, at the Governor’s Office Lobby, Friday afternoon (21/1/2022).
The social assistance is a form of response and concern of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government towards 80 families affected by the fire that occurred in early January 2022. The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government’s social assistance, which was distributed through the Central Kalimantan Provincial Social Service, consisted of kitchen equipment, food packages, children’s food, family kits, tarpaulins, 80 packages of mattresses as well as assistance from the Governor in the form of financial assistance for 80 families with a value of IDR 3 million per family. Additional social assistance was also distributed through the Central Kalimantan Disaster and Fire Management Agency (BPB-PK) in the form of 80 basic food packages.
Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, in his remarks, expressed his concern over the disaster. “I consider that anyone doesn’t want this fire accident, but this is part of an unavoidable disaster, so the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is also concerned and empathetic to assist. Even though this assistance is not commensurate with the suffering, but at least it reduces the burden,” said the Deputy Governor.
The Deputy Governor hoped that this assistance will be useful and reach the affected communities. The Deputy Governor also prayed for the people affected by the disaster to be given strength, fortitude, patience, to be able to return to their activities, and to maintain good health. “By saying bismillahirrahmannirrahim, today I release the provincial government’s social assistance,” he concluded.
Also present to accompany the Deputy Governor, were the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare, Acting Head of Social Service, Chief Executive of BPB-PK, Acting Head of the Communications Information Coding and Statistics Agency , Acting Head of the Executive Administration Bureau, as well as a number of volunteers who will depart to distribute the aid.
