PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, representing the Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran, attended the Virtual Launching of the 2024 Simultaneous Election Voting Day held by the General Election Commission (KPU) Office of Central Kalimantan Province, Monday (14/2/ 2022) night.
The launching itself was carried out symbolically by the Chair of the Indonesian KPU accompanied by the Indonesian KPU commissioners, by voting for the ballots model that had been provided. The voting for the ballots model was followed by invited guests who were present in person at KPU RI Building, Jalan Imam Bonjol Number 29 Jakarta.
In his remarks, the Chair of KPU RI Ilham Saputra said that his party had officially issued Decree Number 21 of 2022 regarding the voting day and date for the 2024 Simultaneous Election held on February 14, 2024.
After the Decree is released, the KPU will examine and refine the draft of KPU Regulation (PKPU) regarding the stages, programs and schedule of the 2024 General Election. Ilham emphasized that the implementation of this Simultaneous Election requires the support of all parties, including the Regional Government and the community. “However, KPU needs the support from various parties,” he said.
Furthermore, Ilham said, in order to produce good leaders, it must be started from the implementation of democratic elections. According to him, the good foundation that has been prepared at this time can be continued in the implementation of the next general election.
Ilham also hopes that through this dissemination, the public will be aware or concerned with the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections and will participate in supporting the implementation of the democratic party to realize elections that are honest, fair, dignified, peaceful and safe.
Meanwhile, the Chair of Central Kalimantan KPU Office, Harmain, in his remarks at his office this evening said that the stages of the general election had begun in mid-June 2022, one of which was the stage of technical guidance. The next stage this year is the registration of political parties which will be opened in early August 2022.
In the interview session after the activity, Acting Provincial Secretary, Nuryakin, expressed the hope of Regional Government for the 2024 Simultaneous Election activities could run successfully. The local government will support and be ready to make the democratic party a success. “Of course the Regional Government as stated earlier has prepared a plan through a Regional Regulation which we hope can make this democratic party a success,” said Acting Provincial Secretary.
