Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Receives Working Visit of Deputy Chairman of Regional Representative Council of The Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI)
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Representing the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan, Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung received a working visit of Deputy Chairman of DPD RI Mahyudin and Members of DPD RI, Friday (04/02/2022), at Eka Hapakat Hall, Floor III of Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office.
The meeting of the Deputy Chairman of DPD RI with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government which discussed the Opportunities, Challenges, and Obstacles to the Implementation of Development in Central Kalimantan Province was also attended by a number of Heads of Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Institutions.
On this occasion, Governor Sugianto Sabran in his speech delivered by Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung welcomed the working visit of DPD RI in Central Kalimantan.
“The development progress in regions certainly cannot be separated from the strategic role and support from DPD RI. The presence of DPD RI as regional representative at the central government level is very important to be able to facilitate and fight for regional interests at the national level,” he added.
Furthermore, the development vision of Governor and Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan was Central Kalimantan becomes more BERKAH (Dignified, Beautiful, Religious, Strong, Trustworthy, and Harmonious), which was then described in 5 missions, namely: (1) accelerating productive, creative and environmentally friendly economic development,; (2) strengthening regional resilience and anticipating global changes; (3) realizing good governance through Bureaucratic Reform; (4) accelerating the development of intelligent, healthy, and competitive human resources; and (5) confirming that Central Kalimantan has faith, culture, and gender equality.
“Central Kalimantan Provincial Government has a strong commitment to realizing the vision and mission of the development. Efforts and breakthroughs continue to be made, including encouraging an increase in Regional Original Revenue (PAD), fully supporting the National Strategic Food Estate Program, spurring the development of Shrimp Estate, and also remaining focused on handling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as infrastructure, education, health, and economic development,” said the Governor’s speech delivered by the Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the DPD RI Mahyudin said that his working visit along with the members was to assist the region. “We don’t want to see any areas to be left behind. We want the areas to be developed,” he said.
“Therefore, this is our opportunity to take an inventory of the existing problems, challenges, and obstacles so that Central Kalimantan can develop quickly,” concluded Mahyudin. (win/fen/transl.by feb)
