Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Attends Virtual Launching of Presidential Instruction 1/2022 on Optimization of JKN Program
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Edy Pratowo attended the virtual launching of Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2022 on The Optimization of Implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program via video conference from the Deputy Governor’s Meeting Room, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Thursday (3/2/2022).
Also being present to accompany the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan were Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun, Head of the Health Office Suyuti Syamsul, and Director of RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya Yayu Indriaty.
The launching of Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2022 on The Optimization of Implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program which was held in a hybrid manner was led by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Prof. Muhadjir Effendy at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, Jakarta.
It should be noted that Presidential Instruction 1/2022, which was signed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on January 6, 2022, was issued in order to further encourage the optimization of implementation of the JKN program, increase access to quality health services, and also ensure the sustainability of the JKN program.
The Presidential Instruction 1/2022 is addressed to the relevant Ministers, the Attorney General, the National Police Chief, the Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency, the Directors of the Social Security Administration Body (BPJS), the Governors, the Regents/Mayors, and the Chairperson of the National Social Security Council.
Through this Presidential Instruction 1/2022, the President instructed the Central and Regional officials to take steps according to their respective duties, functions and authorities to optimize the implementation of the Health Social Security program.
“Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2022 actually shows that the National Health Insurance Program for the Healthy Indonesia Card is a strategic government program that has a major impact on the community, so its sustainability requires the involvement of stakeholders, both at the national and regional levels,” explained the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan Ali Ghufron Mukti in his report.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs in his speech said that the Government has a strong commitment to the JKN program and targets that in the 2024 RPJMN a minimum of 98% of the Indonesian population will be the participants of JKN program. The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs also emphasized that the success of JKN program requires the support of all stakeholders.
“As one of the national priority programs, JKN program must have the support and participation of all stakeholders. The implementation of JKN program is not only the responsibility of BPJS Kesehatan, but it also requires serious synergy and support from the Central Government, Provincial Government, and Regency/Municipality Governments,” said the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy.
Also being present at this event were the Chairman of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of the Representatives Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena, Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs Suhajar Diantoro, as well as the Board of Directors of BPJS Kesehatan and the National Social Security Council.
Today’s launching event of Presidential Instruction 1/2022 was also attended online via video conference by a number of Leaders of Ministries/Institutions, Governors and Regents/Mayors, as well as the Senior Leaders and Heads of BPJS Kesehatan Branch Offices and ranks throughout Indonesia.
