PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force delivered a Press Release regarding the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic until Saturday (12/02/2022) at 15.00 p.m.
In a statement, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force said that during the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), places of worship could hold congregational activities. However, to anticipate the surge of positive cases, they must comply with the latest provisions. For example, for PPKM Level 1, congregation has to be a maximum of 75% of the room capacity. Then, for Level 2, a maximum of 75% of the capacity and a maximum of 75 people. As for the PPKM Level 3, a maximum of 50% of the capacity and a maximum of 50 people.
Then, the congregation must pay attention to and comply with health protocols while in the worship room, such as wearing masks properly, maintaining hand hygiene, keeping a minimum distance of 1 meter, being in good health (body temperature <37 degrees Celsius), not having self-isolation, carrying their respective worship equipment, avoiding physical contact or shaking hands, and not just being returned from a trip outside the region. Congregants aged >60 years and pregnant/breastfeeding mothers are advised to worship at home.
Until now, new confirmed cases always increase every day in Central Kalimantan. This may continue to happen if people are not disciplined in implementing health protocols in their daily activities.
