Leading Focus Group Discussion with Expert Team From Gajah Mada University, Governor Sugianto Sabran Highlighted Benefit Principle in Development
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran, accompanied by Deputy Governor H. Edy Pratowo, led a Focus Group Discussion on the Acceleration of Development in Central Kalimantan, held at Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office Complex, Palangka Raya on Monday (21/2/2022).
This Focus Group Discussion on the Acceleration of Development in Central Kalimantan with the Expert Team from the University of Gajah Mada aimed to obtain a detailed picture and policy solution for obstacles in development.
The members of expert team from the University of Gajah Mada were Haidar Alwi, Santrawan, Jaka Widada, Ikaputra, Donatus Hendra Amijaya, and Amirullah Setyhadi.
When delivering his directions, Governor Sugianto Sabran emphasized that in development, the benefit principle must be prioritized, so that it has an impact on the welfare of the community.
“Every time you develop something, there must be a benefit principle, that’s the key. The important thing is that the benefit principle for the community, economy, and development of Central Kalimantan,” said the Governor.
In addition, Governor Sugianto Sabran said that the development of economic zones would encourage development in Central Kalimantan.
“The development of economic area that we will build will attract people to come to Central Kalimantan, so it can compete with other regions,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.
Governor Sugianto Sabran considered the need for solutions and input from the University of Gajah Mada’s expert team to develop Central Kalimantan in particular and Indonesia in general.
“I ask for help from the expert team of the University of Gajah Mada to establish strong economy, to build Central Kalimantan, and to develop the Indonesian economy as well,” explained the Governor.
Being present at the event were the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, the heads of the related regional government institutions, as well as the academics from the University of Palangka Raya, the University of Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya, and the State Islamic Institute of Palangka Raya.
