Attending the 32nd Anniversary Commemoration of IPHI, Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Handed Over Assistance for Orphans and the Poor
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo attended the 32nd Anniversary Commemoration of the Indonesian Hajj Brotherhood Association (IPHI) at the Masjid Raya Darussalam Palangka Raya, Tuesday (22/3/2022). The commemoration with the theme “Mabrur Hajj for life for Prosperous and Just Indonesia” was held simultaneously by the IPHI Central Management together with 34 Provincial Managers and 365 IPHI Regional Managers throughout Indonesia.
Reading the remarks of the Central Kalimantan Governor, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo expressed his hope that pilgrims would not only be pious individually, but at the same time be expected to be pious socially. “The implementation of the socially pious has been standardized through priority programs that include the participation of the hajj pilgrims to help the community in the economic, education and health sectors,” said the Governor.
“Regarding the economic potential for the pilgrims, I see an Islamic symbol that we need to develop in the future for the benefit of the people,” he added, hoping that IPHI would also be a pioneer in development, especially in the field of moral and mental spiritual development.
The Governor, on behalf of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the relevant parties for their concern for others because directly or indirectly they help the Regional Government in efforts to improve the welfare of the community. “We all hope that this will be of value and be recorded as a charity for all of you,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, as the Chair of IPHI Provincial Management for Central Kalimantan, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin submitted a report that nationally, IPHI held a Joint Concern Movement activity “Sharing for 32,000 Orphans and the Poor” as part of this year’s anniversary commemoration. As for IPHI Central Kalimantan, we also handed over assistance for the Islamic Boarding School and the management of Masjid Raya Darussalam.
Presented by Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin as the Chair of IPHI Central Kalimantan, the assistance packages came from IPHI Provincial Management of Central Kalimantan as many as 435 packages, IPHI Palangka Raya (100 packages), IPHI North Barito (100 packages), IPHI Seruyan (50 packages), IPHI Sukamara (50 packages), IPHI Lamandau (50 packages), and IPHI East Kotawaringin (100 packages), bringing the total assistance to 885 packages.
For 435 aid packages from the IPHI Provincial Management of Central Kalimantan, respectively, they were given to Darul Amin Orphanage (75 orphans), Budi Mulya Orphanage (75 orphans), Narusshalihin Orphanage (25 orphans), Hidayatullah Orphanage (25 orphans), Berkah Orphanage (25 orphans), Bina Sejahtera Orphanage (25 orphans) Al-Mim Orphanage (25 orphans), Ayah Bunda Orphanage (25 orphans), Rumah Dhu’afa (25 people), Tahfidz Alwafa House (25 people) ), Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School (25 people), Raudhatul Jannah Islamic Boarding School (25 people), and management of Masjid Raya Darussalam (15 people).
The assistance was symbolically handed over by the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo and the IPHI Provincial Management of Central Kalimantan. Apart from providing assistance, the event was also coupled with a Zoom Meeting with the Central IPHI Executive Board which held a commemoration event in Jakarta. The event in Jakarta, among others, was attended by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi and the General Chairperson of the IPHI Central Management Ismed Hasan Putro.
Being present at the Masjid Raya Darussalam in Palangka Raya were the Governor’s Expert Staff for Social Affairs and Human Resources Suhaemi, Director of Doris Sylvanus Hospital Yayu Indriati, Head of Central Kalimantan Human Resources Development Sri Widanarni, Head of Central Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Office Farid Wajdi, Head of Government and Regional Autonomy Bureau Akhmad Husain, Acting Head of the Central Kalimantan Office of Communication, Informatics, Encryption and Statistics Agus Siswadi, and Acting Head of the Central Kalimantan Village Community Empowerment Office, Aryawan.
The event was also attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan or their representatives, the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Central Kalimantan Province, as well as the Head of Islamic Organizations, Organizers of the Hajj / Umrah Travel Bureau, Leaders of Islamic Boarding School Foundations, Orphanages, and Central Kalimantan Community Leaders.
