Through Isra’ Mi’raj Commemoration, Central Kalimantan Governor Invited All Community to Ignite Spirit to Work, to Learn, and to Build
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Assistant for Government and Welfare Katma F. Dirun, representing Governor Sugianto Sabran, attended the Commemoration of the Isra’ Mi’raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW Year 1443 H/2022 AD at Darussalam Grand Mosque, Palangka Raya, Wednesday (2/3/2022) night. This event was held in collaboration between the Central Kalimantan Province Islamic Holiday Committee (PHBI) and the Darussalam Grand Mosque Management.
In his remarks delivered by the Assistant for Government and Welfare, Governor Sugianto Sabran reminded that the journey of Isra’ and Mi’raj is a spiritual experience of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which included a horizontal journey from the Grand Mosque to the Aqsa Mosque as well as a vertical journey from the Aqsa Mosque to Sidratul Muntaha to receive revelations from Allah SWT in the form of the obligation to pray 5 times a day.
According to the Governor, Isra’ Mi’raj’s journey has lessons for Muslims in the context of fully human development and a just and prosperous society. In this case, Muslims are required to live life in the world in a balanced way, control themselves, and struggle to carry out Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar, including in carrying out government duties, development, and social responsibility.
For this reason, as a person and on behalf of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, the Governor would like to thank the kyai and scholars and elders who have provided enlightenment and guidance to do many things for the progress of development in Bumi Tambun Bungai.
The governor hopes that the people of Central Kalimantan in the future will be wiser in responding to the times and social changes that occur.
“So that we will always be ready and not easily provoked by misleading matters that can have a negative impact on social, cultural, economic, political, and regional security, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic,” explained the Governor.
Furthermore, the Governor explained that generally Isra ‘Mi’raj contains 3 main elements, namely faith, practice of prayer, and knowledge. In this regard, through the Isra’ Mi’raj Commemoration, the Governor invites all the people of Central Kalimantan to ignite their enthusiasm to work, to learn, and to build so that they can move more confidently and work more synergistically.
“So that government activities and regional development in the future will be better to support the realization of Central Kalimantan to be more BERKAH,” explained the Governor in his speech delivered by Assistant for Government and Welfare Katma F. Dirun.
Being present at the event tonight were a number of officials from the Regional Office of Central Kalimantan Province of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Regional Office of Palangka Raya Municipality of the Ministry of Religious Affairs as well as scholars and community leaders of Central Kalimantan.
Isra ‘Mi’raj commemoration tonight presents Abuya DR. H. Arrazy Hasyim, Lc., S.Fil.I., MA.Hum as a lecturer.
