Assistant for Economics and Development Leonard S. Ampung Opened Technical Coordination Meeting on Transportation in Central Kalimantan
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Assistant for Economics and Development Leonard S. Ampung, representing the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, opened the Technical Coordination Meeting on Transportation in Central Kalimantan at Bahalap Hotel, Thursday (21/4/2022).
The Coordination Meeting with the theme “Through Technical Coordination Meeting, We Improve Safe Transportation in Facing Eid 2022/1443 H in Central Kalimantan” was attended by approximately 60 people from the Transportation Office of Regency/Municipality throughout Central Kalimantan, the Kesyahbadaran Office and Port Authority (KSOP), Port Operator Units (UPP), and Airport Operator Units (UPBU) throughout Central Kalimantan.
“This technical coordination meeting was held to produce the right policy formulation so that the transportation in homecoming 2022 can be carried out properly and we as the transportation partner can provide the best service to the people in Central Kalimantan during Eid 1443 H,” said the Head of Transportation Office Yulindra Dedy in the report he submitted.
Meanwhile, the Acting Provincial Secretary in his remarks read by Assistant for Economics and Development Leonard S. Ampung welcomed this Coordination Meeting. “I consider the theme of this coordination meeting is appropriate because safety in transportation sector is very important. A joint commitment is needed in realizing orderly, safe, and controlled transportation services by implementing applicable rules and regulations in order to reduce accidents or to reach zero accidents,” he said.
Furthermore, to face the transportation during homecoming and Eid this year, although currently the spread of Covid-19 tends to decrease, the Acting Provincial Secretary appealed to the Transportation Office to remain active in carrying out strict supervision of the travel and movement of people in and out of the Central Kalimantan Province by land, sea, river and air. “Everything must comply with applicable regulations and continue to pay attention to health protocols, so that apart from safety, our health is also prioritized” he appealed.
The assistant expressed the hope of Acting Provincial Secretary that through this coordination meeting, we can create synergy and coordination regarding routine and periodic activities, both infrastructure and facilities carried out by the Transportation Office at Regency/Municipality level, KSOP/UPP, and UPBU using the National Budget. “I hope that you can produce optimal performance in this meeting and produce real formulations as an important reference in carrying out tasks in the transportation sector in accordance with their respective authorities,” he said.
