Provincial Government Receives Assistance of 2 Thousand Food Packages from PT Sinar Mas Group Distributed for Communities Affected by Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan received the assistance of basic food packages from PT Sinar Mas Group to be distributed to the people of Central Kalimantan in need, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Provincial Secretary Nuryakin symbolically received the food package assistance which was handed over by the Head of Representative Office of PT Sinar Mas Group in Central Kalimantan Ali Rizky Djaya at Bulog Warehouse, Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 3, Palangka Raya on Tuesday (26/4/2022).
In his remarks, the Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan, Nuryakin, expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation for the assistance of 2 thousand food packages that had been given by PT Binasawit Abadi Pratama, a member of PT Sinar Mas Group.
It was stated that although the pandemic in Central Kalimantan was getting under control, the impact has been going on, especially in the socio-economic sector. To ease the economic burden on the community, government needs synergy and support from all parties, including the business sector.
“We are grateful that on this opportunity, we can see the synergy from business sector in providing assistance of basic food packages for people in Central Kalimantan who have been affected by COVID-19,” said Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Nuryakin.
It was also emphasized that the assistance from PT Binasawit Abadi Pratama would later be distributed to the people of Central Kalimantan in need. “This assistance will then be distributed by the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government to the people of Central Kalimantan,” said the Secretary, Nuryakin.
Central Kalimantan Secretary Nuryakin then expressed his hope. “Hopefully the initiation of this social activity can continue to be sustainable and inspire other Large Private Companies (PBS) to participate and support development in Central Kalimantan Province,” he hoped.
At the end of his remarks, the Secretary also expressed his gratitude for the support of the Central Kalimantan Regional Head of Bulog, Amrullah and his ranks in facilitating the provision of basic food packages from institutions or businesses that participated in providing assistance to communities affected by COVID 19.
Each of food packages contained 5 kg of rice, 10 packs of instant noodles, 1 box of 800 gr packaged milk powder, 1 biscuit tin of 1600 gr, 1 coffee pack of 165 gram, 1 box of tea bag, 2 kg of sugar, and 2 liters of cooking oil.
Being present at the handover ceremony were the Head of Disaster Management and Fire Fighting Agency of Central Kalimantan Province (BPBPK) Falery Tuwan and the Division Head of Emergency and Logistics of BPBPK Alpius Patanan. (set/fen/transl.feb)
