Attending Inauguration of Cyber Media Association, Governor’s Expert Staff Delivered Governor Sugianto Sabran’s Hope: Provide Education and Understanding of Cyber Media Literacy
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Governor’s Expert Staff for Government, Law and Politics Herson B. Aden representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan attended the Inauguration of the Regional Managers of the Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI) of Central Kalimantan for the 2022 – 2025 period at Aquarius Hotel, Palangka Raya, on Tuesday, 24 May 2022.
AMSI is an organization formed and jointly declared by the editors-in-chief of online/cyber news media companies in Indonesia, with the aim of building togetherness and strengthening fellow internet-based or digital news media companies.
Through the existence of the AMSI organization, members of media companies are expected to be able to further improve the quality of reporting and also the professionalism of the media crew, especially cyber or online. To date, AMSI has members of more than 400 cyber media companies, spread across 24 provinces in Indonesia.
On this occasion, the Governor’s Expert Staff for Government, Law and Politics said that the Governor of Central Kalimantan hoped that AMSI would provide proper education and understanding of cyber media literacy.
“Of course, it is our common hope that AMSI is able to contribute to provide education and understanding of correct cyber media literacy, both to readers and cyber media people in it, especially with the spread of fake news or hoaxes in the community,” he said.
Furthermore, Herson B. Aden invited AMSI regional administrators to work together with the Provincial Government, in accordance with the direction of the Governor of Central Kalimantan.
“On this excellent opportunity, I invite all organizations and media crews, especially the AMSI Regional Management, to work together and collaborate with the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government in an effort to advance development and the economy in Central Kalimantan,” said the Governor’s Expert Staff.
Being present at the event were the Secretary General of Central AMSI Wahyu Dhyatmika and the Head of the Communication, Information, Encryption and Statistics Agency Agus Siswadi. (rik/transl.feb)
