Cultural Carnival Marks Start of 2022 Isen Mulang Cultural Festival
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran officially released the Cultural Carnival participants, Tuesday (17/05/2022), in the Big Roundabout area, Palangka Raya. This carnival marks the start of the 2022 Isen Mulang Cultural Festival (FBIM) series, which is part of the series of 65th Anniversary of Central Kalimantan Province. FBIM will be held for 6 days, starting from 17-22 May 2022.
Also attending this event were Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, CEO of City Mountain Bike (CMB) from Belgium Kristoff Broyneel, Expert Staff for Business Development of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Dadang Rizki Ratman, members of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan, Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, Regents/Mayor throughout Central Kalimantan, officials from Regional Government Institutions and Representative Offices of Central Government in Central Kalimantan as well as the Community Leaders and Customary Leaders.
In his remarks, Governor Sugianto expressed his highest appreciation for the 2022 Isen Mulang Cultural Festival.
“This activity is an embodiment of the creation of taste and the work of regional artists based on the values of the nation’s cultural ancestry based on Pancasila with Bhinneka Tunggal Ika and Nusantara perspective,” he said.
Furthermore, the Governor said that the Covid-19 pandemic for more than 2 years had postponed major tourism events that were previously scheduled.
“Alhamdulillah, by the grace and blessing from Allah SWT and due to our efforts, the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in Central Kalimantan Province, can be controlled, so that events like this can be held again,” he said.
The Isen Mulang Cultural Festival is an event that provides motivation in developing the participation of the community and the business world in supporting the development of culture and tourism.
With the implementation of this event, it is hoped that it will also inspire the community to be more active in building and be able to increase public interest, so that it becomes an attraction for tourists to visit Central Kalimantan.
“To the organizing committee, the juries of the Isen Mulang Cultural Festival, I hope that the implementation of these series of event can be carried out in an orderly, sportive and disciplined manner. To the contestants, we ask that they obey the rules that have been determined, carry out this series of FBIM activities with the spirit of Isen Mulang and don’t forget to pay attention to the implementation of the Health Protocols,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Culture and Tourism Office of Central Kalimantan Province, Adiah Chandra Sari, said that the purpose and objective of this activity was as a means of communication to build, empower, and recognize a cultural identity of Central Kalimantan.
“Furthermore, this event is also as an effort to preserve culture in order to strengthen national identity, dignity, and to foster a sense of nationality towards the nation and state, a means to strengthen unity and integrity within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” concluded Adiah Chandra Sari.
