Following Up Directions of Governor to Support IKM, Central Kalimantan Province Held Dissemination on Registration for Intellectual Property Rights, Packaging Designs, and Business Licenses
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan through the Trade and Industry Office, held a Dissemination on Registration for Intellectual Property Rights, Packaging Designs, and Business Licenses as well as Dissemination on Industrial Data through the National Industrial Information System (SIINas), located at Swissbell Hotel Danum, Palangka Raya on Monday (30/5/2022).
The event aims to follow up on the direction of the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran who is committed to continuing to encourage the growth of Small and Medium Industries (IKM) through outreach, training and mentoring programs.
While reading the remarks of the Provincial Secretary, the Governor’s Expert Staff for Economics, Finance, and Development Yuas Elko said that to compete in the market, business actors must be equipped with legal business licenses and packaging standards.
“Business actors, especially small and medium industries, must begin to know about IPR in Indonesia, good packaging according to health standards, and business licenses. This is a form of legality to run a business so that the products of business actors are able to compete, both in the national and even international markets,” explained Yuas Elko.
Yuas Elko said that it was hoped that the business actors who attended this event could invite other business actors in their respective regions to take part in the next dissemination event.
“I hope that all of you who are present at this time can inform this program to small and medium industry actors in their respective regions. It is hoped that those who are registered are business actors who have high enthusiasm and dedication to run their businesses,” he said.
Furthermore, Yuas Elko hopes that the dissemination on registration of intellectual property rights, packaging designs, and business licenses as well as dissemination on industrial data through the National Industrial Information System will be beneficial for participants consisting of IKM players.
“It is our hope that all participants can make the best use of this dissemination to absorb knowledge and information from resource persons in order to advance the industrial and economic sectors in Central Kalimantan Province for the realization of Central Kalimantan to be more BERKAH,” he added.
Being present at the event were the Head of the Trade and Industry Office Aster Bonawaty, Head of Sub Division of the Intellectual Property of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Vasco Vernando, and Head of UPTD of the Packaging House Ramida. (rik/fen/transl.feb)
