Assistant for Government and Public Welfare Officially Opened Activities for Monitoring and Supervision of NGOs In Central Kalimantan Province
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Assistant for Government and Public Welfare Katma F. Dirun, representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan was present to open the Monitoring and Supervision of NGOs in Central Kalimantan Province organized by the National Unity, Politics and Community Protection Agency (Kesbangpol) of Central Kalimantan Province in the Eka Hapakat Hall, Monday (20/6/ 2022).
The activity with the theme “The Strategic Role of NGOs and the Involvement of the Family Welfare Movement in Supporting Regional Development and Strengthening National Unity” aims to establish solidarity and good cooperation between NGOs, the Family Welfare Movement, and the government in addressing social and community issues, supporting accelerated development and social welfare, and strengthen the national unity.
The Governor in his remarks read by the Assistant for Government and Public Welfare Katma F. Dirun said that social problems in the community are possible to occur due to lack of understanding and practice of Pancasila. For this reason, the practice of Pancasila needs to be instilled by building character from an early age through family and social life.
The Family Welfare Movement as a government partner organization that is in direct contact with the community and families in particular, is expected to go hand in hand, synergize, and cooperate well, so that it can assist the government in formulating effective and efficient policies in addressing social problems, supporting accelerated development and welfare of society, and strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation.
“We really hope that the presence of the Family Welfare Movement will be able to synergize and integrate its program with the program activities of NGOs in Central Kalimantan,” said the Governor through the assistant.
“I hope that the entire management of the NGOs, the Family Welfare Movement together with the government, will be able to build a harmonious and democratic atmosphere, while still upholding the spirit of togetherness, unity and integrity, and an attitude of nationalism in all aspects of life, namely by giving and devoting the best for the development and the glory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” said the Governor.
This event was also attended by the Acting Head of the National Unity, Politics and Community Protection Agency of Central Kalimantan Ahmad Husein, the representatives of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the resource persons from the Agency of Regional Development Planning, Research and Development of Central Kalimantan Tukas, the Head Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3APPKB) dr. Ina Aden represented the Central Kalimantan Family Welfare Movement and representatives of customary NGOs and NGOs for women empowerment in Central Kalimantan. (dew/transl.feb)
