PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Governor’s Expert Staff for Government, Law and Politics Herson B. Aden, representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan attended the Night Reflection for the commemoration of the International Day Against Drug (HANI) 2022 which was held at the Governor’s Office Courtyard Central Kalimantan, Saturday (25/6/2022) night.
The Commemoration of International Day Against Drug (HANI) which is commemorated every June 26 where this year the theme is “Fast Work, Great Work to Fight Drugs in Indonesia” aims to remind the public about the dangers of drugs, as well as to build awareness of all parties that drugs are dangerous goods if misused.
The public’s lack of understanding about drugs and their risks can be a gap for dealers in marketing and supplying these illicit goods. Therefore, it is necessary to realize that during the commemoration of the International Day Against Drug (HANI) in 2022, prevention, counseling, and information to all groups regarding the dangers of illicit trafficking and drug abuse must be massive. Because drug abuse is proven to have damaged the future of the nation in any country, including Indonesia.
In his remarks read by the Governor’s Expert Staff Herson B. Aden, Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran said that International Day Against Drug is not actually a form of commemorating the anniversary of the founding of a narcotics institution but is a day of commemoration by all nations and countries in the world as a form of concern to provide support , motivation and enthusiasm for drug abuse victims to be able to rise so that they can recover and be productive again so that they live better and more humanely.
The night reflection aims to remind us all about the impact of drugs and also as a form of our concern for the drug problem both nationally and in the province of Central Kalimantan.
In addition, it is hoped that all components of the Government, education and society will cooperate and unite in the “War On Drugs” in accordance with their respective abilities and fields so that they can realize a Shining Central Kalimantan (Clean From Drugs) Towards More BERKAH.
“On this occasion, I invite all parties to help Central Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) in activities in preventing and eradicating drug abuse and illicit trafficking, because the drug problem will never be solved if only BNN moves,” he said.
