Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Welcomes Funbike Sympathy Campaign for Voluntary Program
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, representing the Central Kalimantan Governor attended the Funbike Sympathy Campaign for Voluntary Program (PPS) which was held at the Tax Service Office (KPP) Pratama Palangka Raya on Sunday (5/6/2022) morning.
Governor H. Sugianto Sabran in his written remarks delivered by the Provincial Secretary Nuryakin said that the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government welcomed the Sympathy Campaign initiated by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for South and Central Kalimantan.
“I really welcome the Sympathy Campaign activity held today which is expected to further increase public participation in the success of the Voluntary Program,” said the Governor Sugianto Sabran through the Provincial Secretary Nuryakin.
PPS itself is a government program that provides an opportunity for taxpayers to voluntarily disclose unfulfilled tax obligations and make tax payments based on unreported assets. This program has been running since January 1 until June 30, 2022.
This program in the tax sector is presented by the Government, among others, to increase income to encourage National Economic Recovery (PEN) due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to strengthen investment in the Natural Resources Processing and Renewable Energy sector.
Governor Sugianto Sabran also invited the entire community to support PPS. In addition to being useful for assisting taxpayers in reporting their tax obligations properly, this program will also spur economic recovery and accelerate development. “Let’s support and make this Voluntary Program a success,” hoped the Governor of Central Kalimantan as conveyed by the Provincial Secretary.
It was also stated that the sympathy campaign packaged in this Funbike activity aims to boost the spirit of sports, especially to promote the sport of cycling so that it will be more popular, especially since Palangka Raya Municipality will host the UCI Mountain Bike (MTB) Eliminator World Cup 2022 on 28 August and this event will be a momentum to introduce Central Kalimantan’s potentials to the world.
“There will be 33 countries that will participate in this event. So, if we look at the Formula E event in Jakarta, Moto GP event in Mandalika, now the Mountain Bike Eliminator will be held in Palangka Raya. So, it is extraordinary,” concluded Governor Sugianto Sabran through the Provincial Secretary, Nuryakin, who was greeted with applause from the Funbike participants.
Furthermore, on this occasion, the Provincial Secretary Nuryakin accompanied by the Head of Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for South and Central Kalimantan Tarmizi and the Head of the Central Kalimantan Regional Directorate General of Treasury, Hari Utomo, released more than 200 PPS Sympathy Campaign Funbike participants, consisting of the ranks of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for South and Central Kalimantan, Provincial Government Institutions/Representative Offices of Central Government in Central Kalimantan, Old/Vintage Bike Communities, and public in general.
After releasing the Funbike participants, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Secretary and all the ranks from the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes for South and Central Kalimantan then went cycling. Several heads of Regional Government Institutions of Central Kalimantan Province were also seen in the PPS Funbike Sympathy Campaign activity, including the Head of Bureau of Economics Said Salim and the Acting Head of the Youth and Sports Office Iswahono.
