PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force, citing the Central Covid-19 Handling Task Force, emphasized that vaccination is one of the protections against the virus that causes Covid-19. “Therefore, many local governments are competing to accelerate the implementation of vaccinations in their regions,” explained the Task Force Team in a press release, Tuesday (8/2/2022).

The Task Force team also mentioned that there are at least 5 key strategies to provide vaccinations for people, namely the provision of vaccinations based on government administration, like what the Bali Provincial Government did through villages and the Special Capital Region of Jakarta did through neighborhood.

Then, it can also be done by establishing a vaccination center that can be accessed by people, such as in the field, malls, and communities; by providing mobile-based vaccinations or actively visiting the community; administering house-to-house vaccinations targeting the elderly; or by giving presents to people who are willing to be vaccinated.

Given the importance of vaccination as a protector from the virus that causes Covid-19, the Task Force Team always urges the public to be willing to be vaccinated, in addition to implementing the 5M health protocols (wearing masks, washing hands with soap or cleansing hands with sanitizer, keeping distance, reducing mobility, and avoiding crowds) as well as implementing 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment).

In today’s press release, the data showed that Confirmation Cases have increased by 93 people, namely in Palangka Raya (50 people), Katingan (3 people), East Kotawaringin (8 people), West Kotawaringin (2 people), Lamandau (2 people), Sukamara (1 person), Seruyan (1 person), Pulang Pisau (2 people), Kapuas (18 people), Gunung Mas (3 people), South Barito (1 person), and Murung Raya (2 people), from 47002 people increased to 47095 people.

There were 5 people recovered, namely 3 people in Katingan, 1 person in Sukamara, and 1 person in East Barito, from 45171 to 45176 people. There were 86 people under treatment, from 239 people increased to 325 people. And, there were 2 deaths, namely in West Kotawaringin (1 person) and in East Barito (1 person), from 1592 people to 1594 people, with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

Regarding Bed Occupancy in hospitals or Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Intensive Beds got a decrease in Bed Occupancy (2.44%), from 26.83% to 24.39%, where there were no regencies/municipality with BOR above 50%. Meanwhile, Isolated Beds got an increase in Bed Occupancy (1.89%), from 3.88% to 5.77%, where there was no regencies/municipality with BOR above 50%.

Meanwhile, regarding the achievement of vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province has reached 89.51%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination. (ran/transl.feb)
