Governor Sugianto Sabran Follows Limited Meeting on Vaccination Implementation Plan
PALANGKA RAYA – BUREAU OF ADMINISTRATION LEADERSHIP. Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran followed a Limited Meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Handling the COVID-19 Pandemic and Vaccination Implementation Plan, Wednesday (6/1/2020) virtually via video conference at the Regent’s Office of West Kotawaringin.
In this meeting, President Jokowi said that vaccination would be carried out in stages, and the first phase would begin next week. The government has ordered 329,500,000 vaccines, which will be regulated by the Minister of Health.
As for the number of vaccine doses that have been ordered (firm order), namely as 3,000,000 doses are from Sinovac and have arrived in Indonesia and 122,500,000 doses are added, then 50,000,000 doses are from Novavax, 54,000,000 doses are from COVAX / GAVI, 50,000.000 doses are from AstraZeneca and 50 million doses are from Pfizer.
“Therefore, I ask the Governors to control and check all readiness carefuly,” said the President.
On this occasion the President also emphasized that our strategy in dealing with this pandemic remains the same, namely the first is dealing with health, the second is social protection, and the third is related to economic recovery.
For these reasons, the health protocols implementation of 3M (wearing masks, keeping distance and washing hands) and 3T (testing, tracing, treatment) can really be well done in the field to control the spread of virus.
“I ask the Governors to intensify the discipline of health protocols. Because based on the survey, discipline towards the health protocols has been decreasing,” concluded President Jokowi.
Also present to accompany the Governor at the meeting were the Vice Regent of West Kotawaringin Ahmadi Riansyah, Chief Executive of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force, Darliansjah, Head of the Health Office of Central Kalimantan Suyuti Syamsul, Head of Public Works and Settlement Office of Central Kalimantan Saladin, and Head of Forestry Office of Central Kalimantan Sri Suwanto.
