People With Asthma are Eencouraged to Always Control Their Health and Comply With Health Protocols
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force Public Communication Team delivered a press release on the latest development data of COVID-19 case in Central Kalimantan Province on Saturday (15/5/2021).
In today’s press release, an appeal is conveyed to people with asthma so that they can continue to seek treatment at health services if they experience an attack during the COVID-19 pandemic, of course they must remain disciplined in adhering to health protocols and routinely control their condition.
The Chairperson of the Indonesian Asthma Foundation, Poppy Hayono Isman, stated that it is important for a patient to recognize a number of factors that trigger his/her asthma attack. Poppy also emphasized that health protocols must be strictly adhered to.
“Of course in this pandemic, it is very, very important for us to follow health protocols,” said Poppy Hayono Isman who also suffers from asthma in a media meeting some time ago.
Poppy also explained that the most important thing is to control the asthma of each person, by avoiding the triggers. COVID-19 itself is indeed a disease that is considered frightening for those who have asthma.
Therefore, Poppy also invites people with asthma to be able to keep their body healthy, such as by doing regular exercise, avoiding various trigger factors, controlling their physical condition, and getting adequate and good rest.
Furthermore, through today’s press release, the development of COVID-19 data in Central Kalimantan was collected until 15 May 2021 at 15.00 p.m. was also conveyed, as follows:
(1) The affected zones cover 13 regencies and 1 municipality;
(2) In the confirmed case, there were an additional 27 people, namely 21 people in Palangka Raya, 1 person in Katingan, 1 person in Sukamara, and 4 people in Gunung Mas, bringing the total to 21,157 people;
(3) Recovered, there were an additional 77 people, namely in Palangka Raya (43 people), East Kotawaringin (11 people), Seruyan (5 people), Pulang Pisau (3 people), Kapuas (3 people), South Barito (2 people), East Barito (4 people), North Barito (4 people), and 2 people for Murung Raya, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 19,531;
(4) Death cases, there were an additional 2 people from Palangka Raya, so that the accumulated number became 561 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 2.7%;
(5) under treatment, there was a decrease of 52 people, so that it became 1,065 people;
(6) In the case of suspect, there were an additional 5 people, so that it became 363 people;
(7) Probable case, no additions, so it remains 91 people;
