Governor Sugianto Sabran and Vice Governor Edy Pratowo Officially Inaugurated by President

JAKARTA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. H. Sugianto Sabran and H. Edy Pratowo were officially inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo as Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan for the term of 2021-2024, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (25/5/2021). This inauguration event was held by prioritizing health protocols.
Starting the series of inauguration activities, the event was preceded by the submission of excerpts from the Presidential Decree by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to the Governor and Vice Governor Candidate of Central Kalimantan at Merdeka Palace.
After submitting the excerpts, President Jokowi accompanied by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian with Sugianto Sabran and Edy Pratowo then carried out a procession from Merdeka Palace to the State Palace to carry out the next series of events, which was the Inauguration Ceremony.
The Inauguration Ceremony begins with the chant of the Indonesia Raya national anthem followed by the reading of Presidential Decree Number 76 / P of 2021 on Ratification of the Dismissal and Appointment of the Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan.
After reading the Presidential Decree, an oath is then taken. “By Allah, I swear that I will fulfill my obligations as Governor/as Vice Governor to the best of my ability and in the fairest way possible, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible and serve community, homeland, and nation, “said the President, followed by Governor Sugianto Sabran and Vice Governor Edy Pratowo.
Also accompanying the inauguration ceremony at the State Palace were the wives of the Governor and Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan, namely Mrs. Ivo Sugianto Sabran and Mrs. Nunu Andriani Edy Pratowo. Also present in the event were the Chairman of Central Kalimantan Provincial House of the Representatives Wiyatno and Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Province Fahrizal Fitri.
In a press statement after the inauguration procession, Governor Sugianto Sabran expressed his gratitude for the trust given from the entire people of Central Kalimantan to Governor Sugianto Sabran and Vice Governor Edy Pratowo to lead Central Kalimantan.
“Thank God, we were inaugurated by the President at 10.00 a.m. for our term of office from 2021 to 2024. I also at the same time say a thousand thanks to the support of the people of Central Kalimantan to us,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.
Governor Sugianto Sabran on that occasion also informed the President’s hopes. “After we took a photo with the President, he continued to convey how to control COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan. Controlling COVID-19 is important, COVID-19 is controlled and the economy continues to grow as usual,” explained the Governor.
For this reason, Governor Sugianto Sabran asked for support from the entire community, because the successful handling of COVID-19 certainly requires active community participation, especially adherence to health protocols and also the vaccination program. “My message to the people of Central Kalimantan, let’s fight COVID-19 together, especially now that there is a new variant of COVID, namely B1617, let us (obey) health protocols; the 3M, Wearing Masks, Washing Hands with Soap, and Always Keeping a Distance,” appealed the Governor.
“For vaccines, I ask the elderly and people of Central Kalimantan, not to be triggered by any hoaxes. Vaccines are safe,” concluded the Governor of Central Kalimantan, Sugianto Sabran, while calling on the whole community to be able to carry out vaccinations in a timely manner to the service posts that have been prepared .
