Vice Governor Edy Pratowo Joins Public Workout and Checks Vaksinasi Merdeka
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Edy Pratowo said that although the Covid-19 case in Central Kalimantan has decreased, health protocols and vaccination programs must be implemented.
This was conveyed by the Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo while joining public workout and checking Vaksinasi Merdeka as a series of Heroes’ Day 2021 which was held at Bundaran Besar, Palangka Raya on Sunday (11/7/2021).
“Alhamdulillah, we thank God because the Covid-19 case in Central Kalimantan Province has now decreased with a decrease in positive confirmation cases, but we must not be careless because Covid-19 has not yet ended, we must remain aware by continuing to implement health protocols and carry out vaccinations, “he explained.
This activity aims to invite and convey health messages to wider community as a commemoration of Heroes’ Day by imitating the spirit of the heroes; in our case, it is the spirit of fighting to face the pandemic by creating a healthy habit through Public Workout and Vaksinasi Merdeka. The vaccination targeting 1000 people is expected to encourage the acceleration of herd immunity in Central Kalimantan Province.
Vice Governor Edy Pratowo said that public workout invites the community to raise the spirit of healthy living.
“This workout activity complying with health protocols which was also carried out today is a step to revive the spirit of the healthy lifestyle for the people in Central Kalimantan, especially for the people in Palangka Raya,” said the Vice Governor.
Furthermore, Vice Governor Edy Pratowo said that dissemination, education, and discipline in implementing health protocols should not be slack.
“We must continue to intensify the dissemination and education and discipline of health protocols to the community. Don’t be neglectful, even though you’ve already got vaccine. We also pray that this pandemic will soon pass so that we can continue the development of Central Kalimantan,” he explained.
When ending his speech, Vice Governor Edy Pratowo said that vaccination would strengthen immunity from the Covid-19 virus.
“We hope, vaccination can reduce the severity of a person who is confirmed positive for Covid-19,” said Vice Governor.
