Central Kalimantan Task Force Informed 4 Indicators Triggering Increase of Covid-19
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force team according to the Central Covid-19 Task Force, on Sunday (21/11/2021) informed that there are 4 indicators that at least influence and trigger an increase in the spread of Covid-19. First, the mobility of the population increases and requires increased screening or testing for Covid-19. Second, it is important to ensure that the coverage of vaccinations in each region immediately reaches 70% of the second dose of vaccination. Third, the level of compliance with health protocols that must be maintained because 3M (wearing masks, keeping distance, and washing hands with soap) is the basic and main thing in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The last, it is important to ensure that the Effective Reproductive Number (Rt) remains low because the smaller the Rt number in one area means the lower the potential for transmission of the Covid-19 virus.
“It needs to be reminded that prevention is better than treatment,” reminded Task Force Team.
The public is appealed to in addition to the vaccination and implementation of health protocols as living habit in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who lack the awareness to apply the 5M principles, namely wearing masks, washing hands, keeping distance, limiting mobility, and avoiding crowds.
