PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun, representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan attended the opening ceremony of Lokasabha VIII Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) of Central Kalimantan Province at Eka Hapakat Hall, Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office, Saturday (5/2/2022).

When reading the written remarks of the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran at the opening ceremony, Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun said that Lokasabha is part of the democratic process in carrying out Dharma Agama (religion obligation) and Dharma Negara (state obligation) and to create Indonesia more developed. Therefore, through Lokasabha event, it is hoped that work programs obtained are beneficial for the progress of Hindus, especially in Central Kalimantan.

“I hope it will empower young Hindu cadres who already have quality human resources to become leaders who protect and bring changes to achieve Central Kalimantan more BERKAH,” said Katma F. Dirun.

On this occasion, it is also hoped that the Central Kalimantan Province PHDI board elected are those who are competent and can work together to bring change and progress for Hindus in Central Kalimantan.

“With the election of the PHDI administrators, they will be able to create peace and harmony in diversity on the Land of Tambun Bungai, the Land of Pancasila. This is of course in accordance with the theme “Harmony in Diversity” with the sub-theme “Through the 8th Workshop of PHDI in Central Kalimantan Province, We Create Belom Hinje Simpei Paturung Humba Taburak,” he continued.

Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare Katma F. Dirun also appreciated the event of the 8th Lokasabha because this activity is a proactive effort of Hindu youth in society, so that it can strengthen the unity and integrity of Indonesians who are very diverse and with special characteristics which become the strength not the weakness, specifically in Central Kalimantan.

It was also stated that diversity is part of religious life as an effort to build a spirit of togetherness. Therefore, concern to the lives of religious and democratic people is very important and has great meaning in the sustainability of life order in Central Kalimantan.

“It is our dream, through this Lokasabha, to do introspection and self-evaluation in order to create young Hindu leaders who are professional and with integrity,” he concluded.

Also present at the event were the Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan, Head of the Central Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Governor’s Expert Staff Yuas Elko, as well as the community and religious leaders. (may/ben/transl.by feb)
