Central Kalimantan Governor Orders Development for Accelerating Vaname Shrimp Program in Sukamara Regency to Be Conducted in Stages
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran commanded the development for Vaname Shrimp Pond (Shrimp Estate) area in Sei Raja Village, Sukamara Regency be conducted in stages, with the construction of 1 cluster in the first stage. It should be carried out considering the limitations of the Regional Revenue Budget and the conditions of Covid-19 pandemic.
It was conveyed by Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung when delivering remarks and directions of Acting Provincial Secretary H. Nuryakin at the Coordination Meeting for Accelarating Implementation of Vaname Shrimp Area Development Program (Shrimp Estate) in Sei Raja Village, Sukamara Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, located in Bajakah 1Meeting Room, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Tuesday (8/2/2022).
While chairing the meeting, Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung, representing the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, said that Central Kalimantan Governor commanded the Heads of Regional Government Institutions (OPD) to make breakthroughs in economic recovery amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
“According to the Central Kalimantan Governor’s mandate, which was delivered at the Roll Call on January 3, 2022 at the Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office Frontyard, the Heads of Central Kalimantan Regional Government Institutions were asked to create breakthroughs for economic recovery during the Covid-19 pandemic. One of his directions, Governor asked the Head of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Service to realize the development of shrimp farming area (shrimp estate) in Sukamara,” said Leonard.
This coordination meeting was attended directly by a number of Heads of Regional Government Institutions, including the Head of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Service Darliansjah, Head of Public Works and Spatial Planning Shalahuddin, Head of Regional Development Planning Research and Development Kaspinor, Acting Head of Energy and Mineral Resources Vent Christway, and Acting Head of Economy Bureau Said Salim.
It is stated on the Detail Engineering Design (DED) that the total area of the Vaname Shrimp Pond is 40.17 Ha. Then, the plan is to divide it into 5 clusters equipped with various facilities, including offices, employee dormitories, warehouses, and disease laboratories.
Leonard explained that in the 2022 budget year, for the implementation of phase 1 cluster development, the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department budget is available which will be used for the road construction in the shrimp farming areas, land clearing activities, and supporting buildings.
Through this meeting, Leonard conveyed the hopes and support from a number of related parties in the effort to accelerate the Vaname Shrimp Pond Area Program in Sukamara Regency.
After having directions of the Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung, the activity was continued with presentations and discussions from each related Heads of Regional Government Institutions.
This coordination meeting was also attended by representatives of a number of other related agencies/institutions, including the Forestry Service, Environmental Service, PT Bank Kalteng, and PT PLN (Persero) for Central-South Kalimantan Area in Banjarmasin, UP3 Palangka Raya, and ULP Sukamara.
