Governor Sugianto Sabran Opens Group Discussion Forum of Extortion Eradication Task Force for Central Kalimantan Province
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran opened a Group Discussion Forum of Extortion Eradication Task Force, Extortion Eradication Unit (UPP) for Central Kalimantan Province and Signing of Integrity Pact for the High Leadership Position (JPT) in Central Kalimantan Government.
The FGD activity with a theme “Anti Extortion in the Procurement of Government Goods/Services” was held in a hybrid manner in Jayang Tingang Hall, Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office, Wednesday (9/2/2022).
The signing of the Integrity Pact and the 2022 Performance Agreement were conducted by all High Leadership Positions in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government.
Starting his speech, Governor Sugianto Sabran said that the signing of the Integrity Pact for Central Kalimantan Provincial Government was a concrete manifestation of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government’s commitment to be proactive in efforts to prevent and eradicate Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism (KKN) and not to involve oneself in disgraceful acts whether it is extortion or other unlawful acts.
In addition, Governor Sugianto Sabran also requested that the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government be a good example in efforts to eradicate KKN, so that Regency/Municipality Governments can do the same and even make innovations and breakthroughs in creating more accountable and transparent public services.
Furthermore, the Central Kalimantan Governor hoped all ranks to always be professional in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, so there will be no sting operation (OTT) incidents in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government.
“So that we are all always active in prioritizing efforts to prevent the eradication of illegal levies. Carry out every stage in the process of procuring goods and services in accordance with applicable regulations, starting from the planning, selection process, both tender and selection, to contract management until the completion of the work process,” said the Governor.
Governor Sugianto Sabran on that occasion also invited all parties to always prioritize communication and coordination in law enforcement in order to create a conducive development.
“My hope is that through this FGD, it can become a means of cross-sectoral communication in finding joint solutions to overcome the potential for criminal acts of corruption and extortion, especially in the government’s procurement of goods and services sector,” concluded the Governor.
Also present at the activity were the Chairman of Central Kalimantan Provincial House of the Representatives, representative of Central Kalimantan Police Chief, representative of Regional Commander of 102/Pjg, representative of Central Kalimantan Attorney General, representative of the High Court, representative of the Regional Office of Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Acting Provincial Secretary, Chair of Extortion Eradication Task Force, Inspector of Central Kalimantan Province, and Heads of Services/Agencies in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government. Also present virtually were the Regents/Mayor along with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Regency/Municipality in Central Kalimantan. (may/fen/transl.feb)
