On Behalf of Central Kalimantan Governor, Acting Secretary Inaugurated 402 Functional Officials Through Equalization Mechanism
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, on behalf of the Central Kalimantan Governor officially inaugurated the Functional Officials appointed through the Administrative Position Equalization Mechanism, located at Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Friday (11/2/2022) afternoon.
On this occasion, as many as 402 officials from administrative positions in Central Kalimantan Provincial Government were inaugurated into Functional Positions. The implementation of this equalization of positions is in accordance with Regulation of the Minister for State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Number 17 of 2021.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the inauguration and oath taking ceremony were held in a hybrid manner. This event was attended in person in a limited number by few Functional Officials, with due observance of health protocols. Meanwhile, most of the other appointed Functional Officials attended the ceremony via video conference from their respective offices.
The equalization of positions itself is one of the steps to simplify the bureaucracy in order to create a more dynamic and professional bureaucracy to support the improvement of public service performance as the policy direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.
Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran in his written remarks delivered by Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin explained that this equalization of administrative to functional positions needs to be done so that the goal of Bureaucratic Reform to create a government organization that is structurally efficient and rich in functions can be achieved.
“Reformation of the echelonization structure needs to be carried out so that government institutions can be simpler and can move more flexibly,” said Central Kalimantan Governor as conveyed by Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin.
Furthermore, it was explained that this equalization of positions is an effort to further encourage the improvement of professionalism, performance, as well as the welfare and career development of the State Civil Apparatus. “With this equalization, it is hoped that it can further improve performance and career development towards a merit system,” explained the Governor through Acting Provincial Secretary.
Governor hopes that the functional officials who were sworn in that afternoon can adapt immediately and continue to strengthen capacity, so that they can become an important part in running an increasingly dynamic government in order to make Central Kalimantan more BERKAH.
“I hope that the inaugurated officials will immediately adjust to their new positions, improve their performance and continue to develop their competencies,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran through Acting Provincial Secretary.
Also attending the inauguration ceremony at Jayang Tingang Hall were Assistant for General Administration Lies Fahimah, Head of Regional Civil Service Agency Lisda Arriyana, Governor’s Expert Staff as well as a number of Heads of Regional Government Institutions. (set/ben/transl.feb)
