Governor Sugianto Sabran Attended Simultaneous Vaccination Acceleration Activity at Palangka Raya Police Headquartes
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. As one of the efforts to encourage the acceleration of Covid-19 vaccination, the vaccination activities were simultaneously carried out in all Regional Police and Resort Police headquarters which targeted the elderly and children aged 6-11 years. The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, virtually monitored the activities from Bogor Presidential Palace, which include the first, second, and booster vaccination, Friday (18/2/2022).
The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan strongly supports efforts to accelerate this Covid-19 vaccination and will coordinate with regencies/municipality regarding the implementation. Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran attended today’s mass vaccination event at Palangka Raya Police Headquarters after a similar activity was previously held at Barigas, Central Kalimantan Police Headquarters.
A number of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum members, such as Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto and Regional Commander of 102/Panju Panjung Brigadier General Yudianto Putrajaya, were also present at this activity. Being present to accompany the Central Kalimantan Governor were the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, Head of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Health Office Suyuti Syamsul, Acting Head of Central Kalimantan Provincial Disaster and Fire Management Falery Tuwan and Acting Head of Executive Administration Bureau Johni Sonder.
President Joko Widodo, in his directions, expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the implementation of vaccination acceleration today.
“I would like to encourage all regencies/municipalities and provinces to concentrate on the second injection and also the third injection or booster injection because I consider that the second and third doses are still below 60%, still low, and that priority should be given to the elderly,” said the President.
“This is very important because from the latest data I received, 69% of those who died from Omicron were the elderly and followed by those who had not been yet vaccinated,” he explained.
Meanwhile, virtually from the Borobudur Museum, Central Java, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo conveyed a report that today’s vaccinations were carried out simultaneously at 5,107 locations in 34 provinces, with a minimum target of 1,114,750 vaccine doses, of which 834,474 are doses 1 and 2, and 280,276 are doses 3.
This time vaccination involved 63,112 vaccinators, with the types of vaccines available including 246,088 Astrazeneca, 106,627 Moderna, 161,427 Pfizer, 25,798 Sinopharm, 8,683 Coronavac, 200 Johnson and Johnson, and 491,000 Sinovac. As for the achievement of vaccination nationally, currently it has reached 90.78% for vaccination dose 1; 66.40% for dose 2; and 3.71% for dose 3. (ran/ben/transl.feb)
