Deputy Governor Officially Launched New Office of Central Kalimantan DP3APPKB
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo, accompanied by Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin and the Chair of Steering Team of Central Kalimantan Family Welfare Program Ivo Sugianto Sabran, officially launched the new office of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning Service (DP3APPKB) of Central Kalimantan Province on Tuesday (22/2/2022), which was located in the area of Jalan Brigjen Katamso.
The fire incident destroyed the former office building of DP3APPKB on April 4, 2014. Prior to occupying this new building, DP3PPKB occupied the Family Welfare Program office building which was located at Jalan Brigjen Katamso until the end of 2014. Then, in 2015 until the end of 2021, DP3PPKB obtained permission to occupy part of the room in the Banama Tingang Regional Company office building which was located at Jalan M.H. Thamrin.
Now, this new office building with the size of 55 x 21.5 m2 has been established on an area of 75 x 44.5 m2 after going through 3 processes or stages of development carried out with a budget sourced from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Budget.
In his remarks, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, on behalf of himself and the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, congratulated the official launching of this new building. “Furthermore, I ask that the role of DP3APPKB can be continuously improved in line with the new facilities and infrastructure that we already have,” said the Deputy Governor.
The Deputy Governor hoped that all ranks of the DP3APPKB office can take advantage of the facilities provided through optimal performance by providing the best service to the community, especially to women and children.
The Deputy Governor emphasized that the development of Human Resources (HR) is an important thing that can be started from the smallest unit, namely the family. “With a quality family, we can prepare strong human resources in facing future challenges, especially for Central Kalimantan as a supporting province for the State Capital. This is certainly not easy, it requires hard work and cross-sectoral cooperation,” he said.
“Therefore, the main duties and functions of DP3APPKB are very important because apart from providing services to the community, it is also to form quality women and provide protection for children to create quality families in Central Kalimantan. Efforts to handle and prevent stunting must also continue to be actively carried out in synergy with all related parties, including the Family Welfare Program,” said the Deputy Governor.
“Let’s take care of what we already have together, let’s improve what has been good, let’s push it and do coordination for better quality women and children in order to achieve Central Kalimantan more BERKAH,” he concluded.
After delivering his remarks, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo signed the inscription to mark the launching of the new office building. Meanwhile, the Chair of Family Welfare Program Yulistra Ivo Sugianto Sabran did the ribbon cutting. Then, the Deputy Governor and his entourage conducted a review of the new building.
Being present to accompany the Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo were the Assistants, Governor’s Expert Staff and a number of heads of provincial government institutions, as well as the chairs of women’s organizations in Central Kalimantan. (dew/ben/transl.feb)
