JAKARTA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Nuryakin attended the Kalimantan Regional Development Planning Deliberation which was held at Sari Pacific Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday (19/5/2022).

The purpose of holding the Kalimantan Regional Development Planning Deliberation is as a forum for cooperation to accelerate regional development in Kalimantan in order to improve the welfare of the people in Kalimantan in a just and sustainable manner. The Development Planning Deliberation brought the theme “Acceleration of Kalimantan Regional Development in Establishing the New State Capital”.

This Development Planning Deliberation is a series of activities of the Kalimantan Regional Development Revitalization and Acceleration Cooperation Forum (FKRP2RK) in which South Kalimantan acts as Chair of the FKRP2RK Secretariat for 2021-2022.

Head of South Kalimantan Regional Development Planning Agency Ariadi Noor as the Chief Executive in his report said that in addition to regional coordination and cooperation to accelerate Kalimantan’s development, the Development Planning Deliberation also aims to create Kalimantan’s economic competitiveness and accelerate Kalimantan’s regional energy connectivity and sovereignty in an integrated manner.

The Development Planning Deliberation was opened by the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Teguh Setyabudi, representing the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian. A number of agendas in the form of presentations and discussion sessions were presented.

In the discussion session, the Provincial Secretary, Nuryakin, conveyed the need for synergy between Kalimantan regions in the development and utilization of their potentials as well as the interconnection. Furthermore, Nuryakin considered this Development Planning Deliberation to be a very good discussion forum which later all proposals could be formulated by the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency.

The Development Planning Deliberation was also attended directly by the Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan, the Governor of East Kalimantan, the Governor of North Kalimantan, and the Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan. The event was also attended by the Minister of Transportation, Expert Staff for Equity and Regional Affairs to the Minister of the National Development Planning Agency, DJKP, Head of BPIW of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry.
